Trump was indicted by people shown the evidence. Trump was convicted -- unanimously -- by people shown the evidence. It wasn't a show trial. Trump had due process every step in the way. What he did was illegal. The evidence wasn't manufactured.
A bullet "swooned"? No doubt with tears in its eyes. Yes, Trump was shot at. Politics has its dangers. The protection was shockingly insufficient, but the Secret Service does not put political antagonists into the crews assigned to a candidate. They were just crap at it. About efforts to pin the attempt on the CIA or Secret Service, I'd suggest you remember that Fox News had to pay almost a billion dollars for printing defamatory lies. Murdoch admitted they were lies. And the right wing media's lesser lights repeated the same crap. The lies didn't become true because the outlets didn't get sued. You can be small enough to not being worth the effort. It's called being judgment proof. People do love to keep the public percolating with anger.
