Looking a lot worse today. Went from "15 cases will soon become 0" to "anything is possible" with fed cutting rates within a week. Perfectly normal week .
Like others have already pointed out...your entire argument is very, very dumb for multiple reasons...not the least of which is the fact that you are comparing a federal employee (soldier on the GI Bill) to a municipal employee (firefighter).
However, your dumbassedness notwithstanding, most bigger cities do offer good benefit programs for firefighters...including tuition reimbursement...including Louisville Metro (see below). Don’t quote me but I believe it is between $2000 - $3000 per year depending on the individual situation. Might be more than that in certain circumstances.

If a benefit is important to you and being a firefighter doesn't offer that benefit then don't be a damn firefighter. Quit bitching that another job gets a benefit so therefore every job must get the same benefit. Get a job that offers the damn benefit you want.

What's the argument here? Im not scrolling back. Free stuff for firefighters bc military gets it? Arent firefighters local employees not federal? I'm sure theres tons of funds in small towns through their tax payers to pay for it. So you want to raise federal and city tax now.
So why does bernie want to reduce the military...isnt that contradictory to giving ppl a govt job considering that's what it is? Or are you wanting a given federal job where you dont have to do anything? Not every military person fights combat so you cant use that as an excuse.
