So an account that started in 2004 all of a sudden pops up here...this person is the type that obviously likes listening to himself talk cause he writes in chapters that no one will read...yet oddly has less than 50 messages in 15 plus years?
One of those who has to always have something to say.

I never felt that I was bitching. Just joining in on a discussion, I thought.

Wage growth per the Bureau of Labor statistics has been rising since 2012 and continued on a consistent growth path until 2019 when it decreased significantly. Overall, since 2012 wage growth is up but "far below target recovery" since the 2008 collapse.

There are more jobs than available workers. The labor statistics shown that there are a ton of service jobs out there. Its pretty basic, because employers do not have to compete with other employers offering higher wages, wages are stagnant. And we know what these jobs are: McDonald's, Speedway, etc. I see a future of a service economy in the US serving the affluent. Once again, CapEx has been in a full recession--nothing is being manufactured.

I know happy people too. I happen to be one of them.

NAFTA was 1994 and I have a few years but that has been a bit of a long time.

If I was to bitch, I would make a statement that the reason many people are so angry, depressed, etc...as statistics of despair--depression, violence, suicide, drug use/overdose--continue to increase have something more to do with structures and systems that are man made. Reason I'm concerned is that it is part of my vocation and have found that there are some approaches that work on a macro level to help people get their lives back on track. It just makes sense that if some things begin to work for people then we may want to make it known.

Or, I could be someone who says gimme mine, eff em, I got my gun and canned goods.
This has caused me to go looking for my long, lost...

I didn't read a word he typed. You'll never wade through that much ego, complete waste of time.

yeah, as BugBlueDave said. Retread.

long winded way of saying he’s a communist

My end goal, teleos, is to have people basically not so damaged in a community that they constantly put other people in danger. With this end goal, most people would talk a little less our of their backside and really focus on understanding the answer to this question: Do I have any real knowledge of what I'm talking about?
You obviously have a lot useless book knowledge, but you fail to understand how life plays out differently.
What was the status of the US after WWII compared to the rest of the world?

I agree that people are in worse state of mind now, that leads to drug use and despair, but why is that? Notice how that correlated with the loss of manufacturing jobs and free trade.

You think giving them stuff will fix it, and it won’t. It’s just a means govt control, the opposite of freedom.
I would venture to guess everyone on here wants to help people in need, we disagree that govt getting heavily involved is the best way.

Thanks Front Runner. I come here for info on UK football, I'm a big fan. Came over to the board to hear views on politics in a UK forum. "Likes listening to himself talk cause he writes in chapters that no one will read"--is this statement based on intuition or do you really know my motivation for posting. That's some good work Kreskin.

Post World War II is a very interesting subject about what happened in US and globally but most of us kind of knows the dynamics here.

I would say we have had for the past 40 years state sponsored socialism for the rich and well connected and rugged individualism for the working class and poor. Government intervention has been a problem as corporations and lobbyists have bought the government and made sure all of the resources and benefits have gone to the rich--Welfare. This is big government in action. Its just that big government goes to help the Koch brothers and Jamie Dimon and Jimmy and Tyrone down the street get a few bread crumbs. Yes our way of big government is horrible.

Social Security and Medicare are huge programs. Try to take that away. That's a big problem for the GOP because even their supporters like these programs. Most people that have these programs do not say they feel like they are living in Stalinist Russia.

I agree though, if the top 1% of the population which has collectively made 12 trillion dollars since 2008 invested their money in empowering specialists who know how to address these problems, we probably wouldn't need many government programs at all. I advocate for this.

I had some Bernie solicitors ring my doorbell and then knock on my door real hard. They didn't like me when they left. I stated before they told me who they were. "You can hear my doorbell very well, why would you also beat on my door." They then stated who they were. I stated; "You know there is no soliciting in this neighborhood right?" "It is real hard to miss the sign at the entrance."

Of course they acted like I was in the wrong but they did leave. I expect to be antifa'd but I doubt they try it on me. The old lady korean neighbor may be in trouble though she has to be in her mid 70's. I will keep an eye out....

Looked like a nice, clean, articulate couple too...

Ok, lets say I have a bunch of useless book knowledge and really don't know how life plays out differently. There still is the fact that I have been trained on how to communicate using words and a structure to make points clearer. Feedback on my work has been positive. Of course, there is complexity when discussing complex subjects. I could just throw out one sentence statements that may make it seem like I've got it all figured out but indicate no intellectual curiosity: e.g. "Nancy Pelosi is a lesbian who wants to control my mind" or "Trump is a misunderstood genius" or "Alex Jones is really right" or "If people would just understand me then I wouldn't be so angry all of the time" or "I wish my daddy would have told me he was proud of me"--kind of like that.

I am completely in favor of a Democrat replacing Trump as I see Trump as the largest turd at the bottom of the sewer, but make no mistake I am also very aware that the licentious corporate media has its groping claws into the leadership of both parties. Say, think what you will, but it is very clear that Bernie Sanders is the only person in this political race whose words and thoughts are not filtered through some corporate managed sieve. That is why he is so different, and the boomers can't understand that. We need more Americans today who know what TR actually stood for and against. Conservatives are at the top of the list of those who do not know TR, his fight to defend America from that within, and our history.

Makes perfect sense. He intends to destroy our way of life and turn us into a socialist and eventual communist society, but that's great and I'll vote for him because hes honest about it!

Such a sad and ignorant generation coming up supporting such stupidity. A part of me wants you idiots to get what you want, just so you can see how wrong you are. However that would come at a great cost to people who actually contribute to society and take care of their own, so we obviously cant let you morons fall on your own sword. One day some of you will thank us, but most wont. Unfortunately you cant always fix stupid.

Again I ask, what is your proposal to address this?
You have a lot of ideas, but no solutions.

You have a ton of book knowledge, but very clearly no real world, good old fashioned horse sense.

It really isn’t all that complex my man.

These people are compulsive liars who don’t care about the truth; this is the same ole song and dance like the Virginia fine people hoax. You should be insulted they think so little of you.

liars telling you about truth.
Immoral people telling you they are morally superior.
Socialists telling you their programs make economic sense, will save you money [eyeroll]

strange times

I said it a couple of posts ago. "Stop digging"--of course this is metaphor which may confuse some of you. Start with reversing Citizens United and then you've got a chance to begin to have a democracy. Second, if everyone would stop shouting all of the time we may come up with ideas that would work for most. Third, citizens begin to read and inform themselves on what is wrong and what works; stop repeating what mainstream corp. media says to you--CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, OAN, Breitbart, NPR, and on and on. Do the work and then you can begin to make up your own mind. That is a good start to bring about a society where people are a little happier, less desperate. Which again is my teleos.

I'm sorry, I stopped reading after you said a metaphor may confuse us. I'm just so confused, I can't possibly read and comprehend your brilliance.

Putting down your readers is always a wonderful and effective way to get your point across.

But right after that he explained how we have a chance to have a democracy.

Yep, overturning citizens united gives us the opportunity to change our system of government from a constitutional republic to a democracy.

You think the MSM is what makes people desperate? What makes people desperate is a lack of jobs to support themselves, being told a college degree is the key to a good job when a trade skill is the better answer for many, drug addiction, and social media where 90% is gloom and doom.
I think we agree on a lot things in actuality, the path to get there is where we part ways.
