Slightly OT, but I'm currently trying to sell this idea to my older. The idea that "doing what you love and you'll never work a day in your life" is a pipe dream for the wide majority of people. Find a career you can tolerate-to-like that pays and benefits you extremely well, then do what you love in all your free time with all your expendable income without all the risk of burnout in your career AND interests. It's a novel idea so many people eschew in the great chase to fool themselves that they're making some kind of negligible difference in the world while fulfilling their soul... bullshit. Make money, then make your life whatever the hell you want it to be. Hell of a lot easier that way.

She's an artist and wants to be an artist. And she's relly, really good and she works very hard at it. But, I'm trying to make her understand that the odds are not in her favor, no matter how good she is... To secure a real career that will allows her to chase that dream and actually be an artist someday, but to be smarter about getting there.

Nothing makes me happier than fishing. I don't even want to do that everyday. Imagine having to drone on everyday about something as cut-and-dry as gender. No wonder they're crazy.

What people like that fail to understand is this. If shes a truly talented artist, she doesn't need to go to "art school" maybe she can take some elective courses in art while she earns a degree in something like Business and Marketing. Then she should take that Business and Marketing degree and figure out a way to turn her art into a viable business.

It is scary. Trump will not be President after 2024 and we know with the current socialist trend in our schools and universities socialism will continue to grow. It will be the majority as the older generation moves on. Unless our educational system changes and soon.

It's awesome how capitalism works. He gets paid handsomely for innovation in his areas of expertise, as he should. In other areas, the ones I care about, he's a total jackass and buffoon.

I would like to think so also. But as America becomes more and more urban I have my doubts. The large urban areas demand public services and public services means higher taxes and more government control and regulations

Not really. Red states and swing states with a D on the ballot are not going to vote for them.

Hes even said himself his whole movement is around mobilizing ppl who other wise wouldn't vote...meaning they have zero clue how govt actually works.

If he loses most of his voters will grow up and be employed next time around and he'll probably be dead. I'm convinced most of his voters who are young ppl who dont want to put in time to work themselves up in life, they think hes just going to give them everything.
