I wish I could be so bad at my job and continue to work. Honestly someone is going to beat the crap out of one of these refs at some point, and it’s going to be NCAA/Vegas’s fault. It’s shocking it hasn’t happened already. They are going to cost the wrong person too much money.

The problem is the way you are thinking about this. They are not bad at their jobs. They are doing as instructed. They make most of their money from Vegas.

Love how so many of our fans complain about refs, nonstop. Quite amusing, to be honest. Only on Rupp Rafters do you see threads before the game bemoaning who the refs are for the game. Gives our entire fanbase a bad look. But it won't stop. We can keep looking like idiots.

I'm guessing the really good ones, the best of the best, we never even notice they are cheating.

Unfortunately, nothing is going to be done about it. The conferences won't even force refs to sit with the media for questioning. That suggests to me that they are in on it. No reason to hand people the keys to determining the outcome of the game and then also make them above criticism. It just feeds the ability for Vegas to control outcomes.

Oweh ....all of those fouls may have been completely legit. But then when he was aggressive taking it to the hoop, no fouls were being called despite quite a bit of contact.

And that's the issue. Either call fouls or don't call fouls.

This x1000. That's all I ask for. Oweh is a great example of officials not being consistent. He's constantly getting contact on his drives with little to no foul calls. Another example the Perry 3 point shot that resulted in a no call versus the Sears shot that gave him 3 free throws. Either those both were fouls or they weren't. Also just don't be a jerk official and track down a coach who is walking away from you and try to bait him into a technical. (Looking at you Terry Olgelsby)

I think it’s hilarious that the guys on here saying refs were fine actually watched the game and still say that. This is a joke.

Perry was easily fouled on a 3 attempt and no call. Sears gets the call on a much less noticeable foul. Bullshit.

Sears walks about 15 times, blatantly, no call. Bullshit.

Amari raked in the face and mouth on a rebound that defender had zero chance of getting, common? Bullshit.

Oweh attacked no less than 4 times going to the rim, no call. Sears goes to rim and gets call every single time. Bullshit.

Amari pushed with force under the basket with ref about one foot away, no call. Bullshit.

Sears strong arm push off 3 times, with force, no calls. Bullshit.

Sears trips on his own feet after getting stuck. Foul on Chandler. Bullshit.

Brea literally hugged like he was a family member numerous times going over screens, no calls. Bullshit.

Mark Pope stalked like he was hunted by the FBI, ref begging to T him up. Bullshit.

Numerous more. Numerous.

Refs change momentum, stop runs, fuel runs. I don’t think it’s out of line to say our guys got rammed all night and took it with no recourse. Hand checks called on one end with obvious holds and slaps on the other. Well, that alone changed momentum after we came out hot. All bullshit.

Anyone who didn’t see the above Saturday either didn’t watch the game or are full of shit. Period.

Refs were heavy for the home team but our guys didn’t do us any favors. I’m tired of the injury excuse at this point. We are deep we have Kentucky guys as the next guys up (sans chandler). We have a very deep team. Ou anf auburn at home whoever we have for those games it doesn’t matter we have to win them

We’re all tired that the injuries are current, but they’re not excused. They’re just a fact and when you’re down three outstanding players and two of them are your best I don’t care how deep your bench is. It’s going to wear them down and also cause inconsistencies.

Ogelsby should be suspended for the unprofessional stalking of Pope. I think he is one of the worst SEC officials...he is so easily baited by players head snapping, flopping on layups, throwing the leg out into the defender's vertical plane, seems to get the wrong guy a lot on tangles in the post. I can't ever recall seeing one of his replay calls and thought "that was a really great call...he got a tough one right." Most of them are head scratchers.
I think Joe Lindsay and Mike Nance are the two best SEC officials. Nance lets them play a bit but doesn't get fooled by that ticky tack flop stuff. Lindsay is pretty solid overall. Don't mind seeing them at UK games.
