After he had maxed out to Kander he gave the Missouri Democratic State Committee $10,000 to spend on Kander's failed Senate campaign. Kathleen Rice was another D who got big multiple contributions from Blavatnik.

Because companies have become reliant on the mass amounts of cheap labor in China,as well as their nonexistent environmental standards.
The tariffs aren’t about the companies as much as they’re about evening the playing field for the US worker.
They aren’t crushing manufacturing, China is eating the cost of the tariffs, because once the manufacturers start eating the cost they’ll take their ball and go elsewhere. China does not want that.
If you think farmers are being crushed go try and buy a piece of ground at auction. Farmers are buying it ALL up.

Not sure what great benefit the American worker gets from continued Chinese labor other than cheaper products and fewer jobs. The ISM has been putrid before tariffs were increased this week and won't be getting better any time soon so manufacturing layoffs will continue.

Farmers have been suffering already from China buying from Brazil and other countries. Not really sure if the government payments to farmers are as equitable as free market capitalism. But it's very interesting all you guys denounce socialism to the degree that you do when this president is enacting it right in plain sight. lol

Tariffs are a tax on American consumers that will be felt as soon as companies can no longer afford to eat the cost increases. Once this economy loses the consumer, the next recession will begin. The flattening yield curve has already signaled the inevitable.

A tariff resolution before the election might delay it some but this has already been the longest running bull market in history. The only direction may be lower. The Donald is really playing with fire with world trade. But I guess the nobility and protectionism of it is something you guys buy rather easily.
