Are we reading the same thread? Dozens of right wing tweets have been posted since the shooting. That Saavedra dude spent what appears to be hours digging through shit so he could happily claim the shooter was a socialist.

The political labeling that goes on after these senseless killings is disgusting. On both sides.

While I agree. It's again one sided and anyone with some brain realize it.

The fact I own guns, voted Trump, I guess I'm racist. Yet I root for Kentucky basketball and football players.

Maybe it is mental health?. And I've wanted to kill my sister, mom, dad, family at one point when I was a teenager.

This back and forth is getting ridiculous.

None of that stuff makes you racist bro. I don’t think you’re racist at all.

We still going on about making these shootings political? It's weird how we have gotten to the point where people don't even fake the mourning because of a violent tragedy. You got people on the left lie Beto, Buttplug, and Booker straight up calling Trump racist and responsible, you got Kamala trying to literally cash in on it by asking for donations with her statement. You got people on the right like the Ryan dude from Daily Wire digging deep on the Ohio shooter because he was a lefty. But it doesn't appear the shooting had anything to do with his politics, just like all these shootings.

But guess what I guarantee there is some lost guy in life, who hates his life and is looking at all this media coverage these shootings are getting from all sides and thinking to himself, "hell if I do that everyone will know my name." And all its going to take is one thing to push him over the edge because mentally he ain't right. It's not political, it's mentally not right people who are lost and getting eaten up in this current hate culture we got going right now. And the way all media from both sides are handling this aint making it better with how they react to these events by turning it into a political fight, it's making it worse.

MAn this election is going to be the wildest time in American history. All kinds of craziness is about to ensue no one will be able to keep up with it. CNN is going to have multiple orgasms daily don lemon is going to lead the way. Each day is gonna get more nuts. I’ll stick to read only not going to watch any of the garbage on TV.

I’ve played hundreds of hours of Call of Duty and have never had an urge to even pick up a real gun, let alone mow people down.
You probably are not crazy either but, angrier does not mean killer. Pushing the crazy over the edge can be attributed to anything pushing them over the edge. I believe (So do those who pushed it) that abortions were voted legal once a lot of the nation was desensitized by redefining what the fetus was (Zygote). Made it easier to justify.

Like I posted earlier, people are thinned skinned these days and get easily pushed to anger.

We used a 410 to hunt partridge. Not as effective as a 12 gauge but more challenging.
Yeah and Danny's been looking for your ass for a while now for it. He has been playing Call of Duty as well. You should both be an even match.

On a serious note, have never played any of these games. Never had the inclination. Plus, after ed204756793085 said I was crazy, I thought it best not to add to the craziness.

I’ll go ahead and say it...I think a commonality whether a shooter is an angry loner white guy or black dude from Chicago is lack of a good, present Dad. A stable home with a good Dad that’s part of a kid’s life.

No one will ever talk about that, no way to legislate it and men are awful or whatever so it’ll keep getting ignored.

But do a study on *that*...

You also have a family, a job (assuming that got resolved) a life and other hobbies outside of playing that game. You are only shunned by a portion of the hardcore right wingers on here. I assume you have a decent stable of friends. Point being, even though you play the game, you can put the controller down and switch the game off at any time and move on to the next thing. A lot of the shooters don’t have that. They are loners, outcasts (whether they got that way through their own doing or not is a separate debate) they live and breath these games. They got online and play with others who are similar. Those people are the only ones they communicate with. They have no friends or other hobbies, they’re generally disconnected from their family. I think in a lot of those instances a case could be made for addiction to those games leads to them not being able to separate the game from reality. There’s a lot of people who can handle things with the proper perspective, but that doesn’t apply to everyone. I’m not blaming those type games specifically, but I think they can be part of the bigger problem or maybe a “trigger” as the lefties like to use. But I also think a kid who plays violent games would have more tendency to go down that road than a kid addicted to say..FIFA or Madden NFL.

You know how I know Russian collusion/obstruction is dead?

Answer: "RACIST, RACIST, RACIST, WHITE NATIONALISM, RACIST, RACIST, RACIST, WHITE SUPREMACY, RACIST, RACIST, RACIST"

Obviously the new talking point now that Mueller killed muh Russia. Give it a week.......they'll circle back around to taxes once the dead bodies are no longer of use to them.

What an unbelievably sick group of people. They simply have uncontrollable hatred. TDS isn't just a funny term for these loons...….it's real.

Video games aren't to blame. It's a bigger industry than movies. Yet only a micro percentage of users effect a mass shooting. It's not even a spurious correlation.

The real problem is how we raise kids. Trophy culture and coddling result in kids never learning how to deal with adversity or failure.

Add in social media causing anti social behavior and fomo causing depression; and it's a dangerous cocktail. The mass shootings are basically a grown up version of a toddler melt down; because they never learned proper coping mechanisms as a child. Combined with the insane media attention, and it's a seductive combo for these people.

Antifa, white supremacy, (insert random group) is nothing more than these maladjusted young adults attempts at gaining some level of acceptance and belonging.

gop leaders and commentary MUST get better with the second amendment messaging. It can't just be WE'LL NEVER GIVE UP OUR GUNS or ITS A SLIPPERY SLOPE.

Not only are those non effective arguments - they aren't even the reason the right opposes gun control. If anyone (myself included) thought we could enact laws to prevent these - we'd all be in full support. But we know more laws won't change anything.

Criminals don't follow laws. In fact, each one of these acts break probably 10 or more laws (including ones punishable by death); none of which caused the shooter to cancel the plans. One more won't do anything to prevent them.

Know why? Because guns aren't the issue. The people are the issue. Remove legal guns, and they'll just use illegal guns, cars, bombs, etc. We see it in other countries.

Plus, vast majority of these are preventable if we just enforce the laws we have now.

But it'll never happen. Because it's about politics not solutions.

I read an article yesterday about both shooters. You know what their former classmates had to say about both of them? You guessed it - they were loners and weird/messed up in the head. One of the classmates of the Dayton shooter was told by a friend that they knew the shooter and he said he immediately thought of the guy who did it without being told it was him.

And to Rex Kwon Do's point...… seems like I saw a study where almost all mass shooters (the real kind, not the made up number of 4,526,456 that the left likes to parade around) are from single parent households.

This channel is 1) fake and 2) has 3 uploads, all with over a million views and over a million subs.

Just notice how off-puttingly fake the whole thing is. It's not like a TV show where you know it's fake, this is like an alien trying to do human things and failing miserably.

I post this to show how effing creepy and manipulative Youtube is. This channel was pretty clearly manufactured by the site to create a safe ad venture for sponsors. If they are willing to create their own fake content, push it out as real, manipulate views and comments, etc. why would anyone think they will give dissenting opinions a fair shake?

I read a pretty good article about this today. I don’t think video games has much to do with it. Studies indicate this also. South Korea and Japan buy the crap about of these games and have virtually no shootings. The guy in the article thought it was more hiding out on their computers all day, talking to no one and getting into all the social media, internet day after day with the lies and the hate. That can be pretty depressing. Hell I get on this site (and others) and it can start to piss you off (disclaimer: Not going to do anything violent). Do that for hours at a time, day after day, and I can see how people might snap. Wish I could remember where I saw that because it was pretty good
Ok if it's not the games, but what you write is about loner guys getting ideas thru the internet or basically the same concept to me.

So it’s okay allowing people to walk around threatening others without legal consequence? And if I don’t give my kid life saving medicine because my religion (JW) doesn’t believe in medicine , that is okay? PC culture has nothing to do w these things
Mixing threats & not taking meds for religious reasons is idiotic.

And the Left demonizes men to no end & then wonder why they do F-ed up sh!t.

You just nailed it. What I been saying fir years.

You just nailed it. What I been saying fir years.

Yep. @bigblueinsanity and @Rex Kwon Do nailed it.

I grew up playing violent video games (MK, GTA, COD, Hitman, etc). Never once had the urge to shoot anyone. Never had the urge to hurt anyone in anyway. I also had a dad that got me involved with sports, talked to me, and took me to help out on the farm to learn about responsibility.

My step son’s dad let him play a violent video game at age 5 that involved killing. As soon as we were aware, my wife and I had a talk with him about the differences between gaming and reality and continued to have those talks for years. You have to guide and inform your kids in these situations (be it video games, YouTube, movies, etc) or you risk them becoming desensitized to real life and death.

The first line of prevention in these cases always starts at home.

Terrible car accident near where I live. Multiple fatalities. Some nut acting recklessly. Time to have more restrictions on car ownership. Well over a million people are killed every year due to automobile crashes. Time to stop the madness.

The obvious solution is to force responsible sane people to change their transportation habits, make it harder for them to buy cars, limit the number of cars they can buy, and maybe even outlaw cars altogether.

Assuming you're being serious about the accident, terrible news. :(

The Dayton shooter had a hit list and a rape list in high school. He was in a band called the Menstrual Munchers and sang about raping and killing women.

I don’t think video games were the issue. Donald Trump certainly was not the issue.

This kid has been a goddam psycho for years, and taking away everyone else’s guns is not going to fix the problem.

We need to stop accepting the mentally ill as “quirky” or “unique” and addressing mental illness ass the disease it is.

If it was measles or mumps most would be on board.
