I don't know, but anyone wears a GD flashy red miniature cowboy hat needs to be mocked until they jump off of a bridge.

That hat. Wtf was she thinking? Jesus tap dancing Christ

C’mon, Bill. Don’t fall for the Republican talking points when it comes to Iran.

?

No matter what you think about that deal it was done with deception in mind. Deception of the American citizens. Forget about us "owing them the money" from back when the Shah of Iran fell...and "it saved us money in the long run because of the future interest". Forget the "maybe it was a hostage exchange situation" (which at the very least Iran exploited the situation to make it look like a hostages-for-cash exchange...and at worst it actually was a negotiated exchange).

Instead, just focus on this part for a minute...

At the time the pallets of cash were delivered there were US sanctions and a separate set of international sanctions that didn't allow ANY US dollars to flow to Iran from ANY country. That's why the pallets had euros, francs and other non-US currency on them and why they were delivered in an unmarked cargo plane.

From the CNN article linked below...

US officials said cash had to be flown in because existing US sanctions ban American dollars from being used in a transaction with Iran and because Iran could not access the global financial system due to international sanctions it was under at the time...

The money was procured from central banks in Switzerland and the Netherlands, official said, and an unmarked cargo plane loaded with Swiss francs, euros and other currencies were flown to Iran.

"They were totally cut off from global banks and there was no other way to get them the money," one senior official with knowledge of the transaction said.

Does that sound like transparency to you? What do you think that deal did for future diplomatic solutions when dealing with Iran? Strengthen them or weaken them? Did it eliminate the "threat" of sanctions altogether? Probably not...but it sure didn't strengthen them.

Not to mention this part of the deal that came to light after the fact (from the same CNN article)...

Legal claims are one of the reasons the payment to Iran was controversial when Obama first announced it. The Clinton administration had agreed in 2000 to pay that $400 million to Americans who had won lawsuits against Iran in US courts.

These families and individuals had sued the Islamic Republic for damages after the deaths of loved ones or for being the victims themselves of Iran-backed kidnappings or terrorist attacks. At the time, US officials told those families the money would come from Iran.

With Obama's announcement, it became apparent that the payments had come from US taxpayers and not from Iran at all.

So the money for those settlements was supposed to come from Iran via the seized Iranian money...and that's what the American people were told. When in fact...it merely came from US taxpayer dollars under the guise that it was being paid by Iran via the seized assets. So US taxpayers paid $400 million to US citizens for atrocities committed by Iran. Unbelievable.

And we wonder why we are trillions in debt and can't fund programs properly. smh

So you can go ahead and shut up about "republican talking points" on the Iran pallets of cash.

Every one has a Cross To Bear. Our cross is this lady. She thinks highly of herself.

Navy Seal NOT GUILTY of murder in Iraq!!
yes, because one of his squad mates got blanket immunity from prosecutors because he also posed in the pictures. he was supposed to testify against the SEAL. And then once he had immunity he lied in the trial and said he murdered the kid so Gallagher could get away with murder. Even though 2 other people testified to watching him stab the kid in the neck. But thats courts for you, prosecutors shouldn't have been dumb enough to give the witness blanket immunity. Hopefully they can find a loophole to invalidate his deal. This just shows how ****ed up the Iraq/afghan war is making our soldiers. get the **** out.

LOL. If a legal technicality got an Illegal Immigrant who killed a family of four driving drunk after seven previous DUIs off the hook you'd be waving the Constitution and noting what a magnificent document it was to bring justice to the oppressed. But let a court find a US Navy SEAL not guilty who, at the very worst, signed on to protect your sorry ass from the kind of people who slaughtered innocents at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon and you are outraged. What an American-hating disgrace you are.

No, it shows how f**led up liberals are. Send our boys off to war and want them to not hurt anyone. If hes the enemy, kill him!

Watched a documentary about the marines on Iwo Jima they talked about hiding in their foxholes at night listening to the screams of the wounded. Next day they'd go look for them and if they found a wounded Jap, they'd kill them. If they were hiding in caves and wouldn't surrender, they'd use flame throwers to burn them aljve.

We would be speaking German and Japanese if the same people today were in charge then,

Greg Gutfeld followed with a point that was both obvious and shockingly candid. “Of course they’re going to attack him,” he said of Democrats who’ve criticized Trump’s meeting with Kim. Then he admitted that if President Obama had done exactly what Trump just did, he and the other hosts on The Five would be doing a 180. “Let’s be honest: If it were an adversary from the other party, we’d be doing the same thing,” Gutfeld said.

Well at least FoxNews is willing to admit they are full of shit and just putting on a show for their flock. It's a start.

It's amusing. My gf has a monstrously fat, tattooed, mostly toothless former neighbor, (recently evicted) with the constantly changing blue, or bright orange or red hair, etc.

Her name is Tabitha, and she is the utter dictionary picture of a virtue signaling leftist.

I have taken to referring to all these types as Tabithians.

I find it particularly concise, and appropriate.

Much like we (in my old bartender days) commonly referred to a certain class of people as 'spodas'.

As in, 'I didn't know I was spoda tip!!!'

Obama was a communist. Sorry that's incorrect.

Is a communist.

“The kid”............lmfao

But Obama didn't meet Kim. He allowed a young American boy to be tortured to death after being framed for stealing a poster.

If only Otto Wambier was a Saudi Arabian dissident son of an arms dealer guest comlumnist in the WaPo. Maybe the left would have given a shit.

He wasn't framed, he took a poster off a wall. obviously that doesn't justify what they did to him but he was a ****ing moron for even being there. If his stupid ass had stayed in the US he wouldn't be dead right now. Darwinism at its finest.
