Point taken. It was very quick because you can't really see it very well unless freeze framed. I still think Sander's tweet was a mistake. The contact was not a big deal. His attitude and constant disrespect of the POTUS is a bigger deal to me. Even if you don't respect the man respect the office. Reporters are supposed to ask questions, not accuse the president of being racist with no evidence, lecture him, etc. He is just a really ugly person inside and he has pushed his luck far enough that he has earned a timeout at the very least.

What video are you watching where it wasn't clearly visible he made contact with her? The aggression in the contract may be arguable. But there was clearly contact

I thought the Judge arguing Trump didn't give Acosta "due process" was bizarre. The WH isn't a court of law. Its too bad Trump can't rescind that Judge being nominated. Theres always gonna be an idiot in the bunch though.

Anytime a state actor removes a right there is required to be due process under 5/14 amendments.

I don't see this as a right requiring due process. But easier to rule that way, have them revoke it, then rule against Acosta in the end. That's how it should end up

The problem you mention isn't caused by trickle down, trickle down is simply a patch to a larger problem.
The problem is rooted in post WWII America, we were the only major producing nation not affected by war at home. We produced everything for the world. Times were good for a few decades, then the world started catching up.
We had grown acustomed to a lifestyle that was unsustainable. Trickle down was an incentive, Free trade was an incentive. The problem is those 2 have side affects, Free trade is a really quick fix as in the long run it benefits employers to go to where cheap labor is located.
So once those companies leave, how do you get them back to where higher labor is located? Thats where the latest tax cut comes into play.

That doesn't even take into account that we've basically created modern day China to a point they are a threat globally. They are an existential threat to the United States, maybe not right this moment, but it's not far off.
I agree about what happened but you don't increase the deficit with hopes and prayers. CEO's are under no obligation to return to the US where wages are increasing although many have been doing so anyway since inflation first began taking hold in China. The piece specifically states that that capital expenditures must maintain that early 2018 pace for the fruits of the tax cuts to be realized. I wish that was the case and we didn't need the infrastructure and other necessities.

But it doesn't just benefit employers. Yes, we pay offshore resources roughly 25% of what we pay domestic resource (although offshore benefits are much higher than here.) Our loaded cost per FTE in the Philippines is about 40% of what our loaded cost per FTE is in most US delivery centers. We pass those savings on to our customers, though. For one of my major clients, we are charging $5.70 per call domestically. We charge them $2.19 for that same call offshore. We take hundreds of thousands of calls per month for this client. So, that savings keeps their costs down, which in turn keeps their customers costs down.

Additionally, offshore attrition is much lower and work ethic is much better. Attrition costs a lot of money - recruiting costs, training costs, etc ultimately are paid for by the consumer. Like it or not, the economy is a global entity. We can't put that back in the bag.
The Times piece also points out the productivity issue ahead.

I already know the answer to this so it’s rhetorical but do Democrats really fail to see how similar they are to Communists?
I don't think we've gotten close to the bottom yet. The capacity of the human mind to delude itself is seemingly limitless - which applies across the political spectrum, of course. Democrats/Media are 'true believers', they really think Trump is a Hitler wannabe, that they are effectively in 1933 Germany only this time they will do something to prevent the atrocity. With stakes at that imagined height, truly anything goes. Lie, cheat, steal, maim, destroy, whatever. It's all permissible, because it serves the greater good. Viewed through that lens, stealing a few elections is not a big deal. Or anything else that they "have to do". It's like breaking the speed limit to get your pregnant wife to the hospital on time. Who cares, small potatoes. There's a reasonable chance Trump wins in 2020. If things are at this point 2 years in, I can't imagine what will be going on here in years 7 and 8. Most media are on board, of course, with that mindset, so there's no real check on it........

I never said CEO's had obligation to return to the US, in fact I've stated numerous times on here that I don't blame them. However, I do blame our elected officials that made it possible.

The tax cut didn't increase the deficit, the US government brought in more tax revenue this year than ever before.
Something had to be done to get decent jobs back. We can argue back and forth til the cows come home, but something had to be done.
As you just wrote, CEO's are under no obligation other than civic duty to bring plants back. The US needs those jobs, how do our elected officials entice them to? We could end free trade, that would hurt everyone for awhile, possibly ruin some companies, or we can do what Trump has started, give them tax cuts to lure them back, and impose some tariffs.

Very simply let Acosta at the presser and never call on him. Ridiculous a judge would claim his rights were denied when CNN has access as do their reporters so spare me the freedom of speech. WH can simply claim due to safety reasons for our staffers we denied Acosta and he has not right to touch a woman. If they force him in just never give him the mic and he will eventually get the point.

How long before people get so fed up a civil war starts? If you can't trust the election process, we don't have a country.

It needs to happen. Either decide to split the country up or fight each other for it because this is not working. We do not have the same values. You can’t share a nation with a group who believes in political violence, commits voter fraud, pushes for an invasion, doesn’t want to protect sovereignty, wants to replace the citizens, wants socialism, wants crazy shit like trans stuff, and will not abide by the law.

I am all in. Our forefathers told England to go to hell. It is past time we tell the progressives the same. We are too big and too diverse to ever get along with one another. The other side does not want anything to do with us and I feel the same.

The Acosta ruling is BS.

I am a star on rafters for saying we should shoot 50 threes a game. Tired of Cal playing plow ball and ready to open it up. I have been outed as a Louisville fan....I am as much a Louisville fan as I am a liberal. Freedom of thought is dangerous as status quo lefties come after you. It is fun anyway. Anything kybassfan is for I am against.

So tell me about the caravan that's coming to rape and pillage the US. Oh the election is over, what caravan? Just further proof this was all a boogeyman ploy by Republicans to stir up the bigots in their base to go vote! And waste millions of taxpayer money to send troops to the border to hand out water.

Democrat politicians (and MSM) are playing a very dangerous game right now. Rigged the Democrat primary for Hillary. Trying to rig mid-terms. Eventually some folks are going to have enough of losing their country to these criminals and something will get done about it. Who knows when and by whom but something will happen.

For some strange reason there doesn’t seem to be much being done about it thus far.

Because people are much tougher on the internet than in real life. The few people on this board who think a civil war is coming aren't familiar with the term critical mass. A few whackos on each side are getting attention while 95% of people go about their daily lives without giving much of a shit at all about politics. It's more likely that our basketball team rips off a thousand game winning streak than another civil war happening.

Wrong again, hoser. There is a civil war going on right now. Your limited view can only see a civil war that involves cap and ball rifles and clearly defined uniforms. You and other idiots have attacked the sovereignty of this nation in an effort to "change" it to yet another thing that you don't understand.

You suck as much as ever.
