If you don't think it's practiced here in the US then you simply don't understand what "it" is.
So what is it in Europe that we are seeing?
On what basis can you support your claim that "practicing socialism always leads to communism"? The first communist country was created in 1917 and is no longer communist. There are currently only 5 communist countries in the world...China, North Korea, Vietnam, Laos and Cuba. None of those countries went from socialism (democratic or otherwise) to communism.
Then what do you call your Lib bs that wants greater taxation to redistribute wealth?
And just how many people in the US do you think support either of those two political bodies? Put out your number since you seem to think it represents conservatives.

I don't follow the history of communism to much but it's never been successful. Europe and Canada are slowly taking the rights away from their people. They may not go full communist but their pushing a dangerous agenda.

You don't have to agree with facts. The US has dozens of "socialist" programs that have been running for many decades & some hundreds of years. Sweden is always labeled as one the most socialist developed countries and has managed to avoid communism for 700 years. Capitalism has to be kept in check because humans(especially Americans) are to greedy to do what is good for the long term health of their country.
Is the government lousy at running the military? police? building massive highway systems,? spying on everyone? They used to be good at giant infrastructure projects, education, power grid, & other things. But now we have let everything become political so every program has to be flip flopped every few years to make the new party in power happy.
