You make a good point. Most of them won't even reply to me and they constantly dodge my questions. Their either just trolls or they weren't blessed with too much sense. Both of which that are common within their party.

Socialism can exist in democracies or dictatorships.
Democratic socialism is practiced in Canada, Great Britain, France, Germany, Sweden, Japan, Australia...just to name a few.
Socialism is also practiced in the United States. We have public schools, Social Security, water, electric power, Medicare, police and fire protection...anything publicly funded/administered is socialist.
There is a false narrative that socialism = communism, that it calls for an equal distribution of wealth, etc. Nothing could be farther from the truth.
Fair enough but I don't really agree that its practiced here in the states.
You can see right now in Europe what giving the government more control is doing. Practicing socialism always leads to communism even if takes a long time to get there.
So my question is why would you want to give the government more control when they already do a lousy job with the certain areas that they are in control of?
