Your approval rating for being politically stupid is 100%. With stupidity that high you'll be guaranteed a second term.
It's not naivete at all and has nothing to do with being just or smarts. It's honor and bravery. The average American is what makes up the majority of our military. They're not super soldiers. And Americans aren't cowards like Germans. There's no comparison. We died to save them. You're naive to believe that we wouldn't do the same to save ourselves. Maybe you just have no pride or courage.
Americans will bravely and gladly die for America. That's one sentence that has stood the test of time and will continue to do so. We know the importance of freedom and liberty. It will be protected at all cost. How do you think we got here? Average people fighting and dying for the idea of America is why we are all Americans to begin with.
I get off work at noon on Mondays so nights for me is midnight - noon. UPS doesn't start a new day till all the 1day flights are gone so I live on a different clock.

Both extremes of the political spectrum can lead to tyranny. Some current examples being China, Russia, and the most egregious Turkey on the right, and Venezuela on the left. That's why we need constant, open discussions about these issues, not insults and silencing dissenting opinions. From both sides.

What YOU fail to realize is that the word "regulated" didn't mean bureaucratic regulation. Have you ever heard of a weapon called a Regulator? Have you heard of a group of people being referred to as "Regulators"? You are trying to apply your ill-conceived connotations to a word that had different meaning at the time the constitution was written. Words may have evolved over the years but the ideology behind the amendment has not. Each citizen of this country has the inalienable right to keep and bear arms.

Absolutely on some things. PC culture being the most egregious to me. Jordan Peterson is totally a nice dude. I don't agree with him on everything of course, but calling him a nazi and trying to shut down his talks is ludicrous. Mostly he just preaches personal responsibility. Also there are lots of Islamic apologists on the left currently. Beheading people because you think an invisible man in the sky likes you better than them isn't good for any of us and we should be able to talk about those negatives without being labeled Islamophobic. It's an overreaction to the Christians on the right who really are Islamophobes and want all of them dead. Can't give someone a free pass though just because they're a minority, that's like the people saying only whites can be racist because they have the power. Anyone can be racist aka tribal. The right goes too far right on plenty of things too though, like denying climate change and bloated military spending to name a couple.

As a Christian on the right I don't want any Muslim dead except maybe those terrorist Muslims who want to kill or harm anyone else who will not submit to Islam. I just want them confined to Islamic countries where they can do whatever they wish to each other in the name of their insane Sharia law. Most (not all) cannot live in toleration of other religions or cultures and need to be kept in isolation from the rest of the world.
