In Trump's letter to Comey he thanks him for informing him, on three separate occasions, for letting Trump know that he is not under investigation. So, there's no separate FBI Trump/Russia investigation.
Also, sources from the WH are saying Comey was fired not because of inconsistencies in testimony, but because he usurped federal prosecutors, and took on the role of judge and jury when saying Clinton shouldn't be prosecuted.
