Yet Another Hate Crime Turns Out To Be A Hoax

A church organist was arrested Wednesday after he vandalized his own church with a swastika and pro-Trump graffiti in order to “mobilize a movement.”

George Nathaniel Stang, 26, admitted in a handwritten statement to spray painting a swastika, “fag church,” and “heil Trump” on St. David’s Episcopal Church in Bean Blossom, Indiana. “I suppose I wanted to give local people a reason to fight for good, even if it was a false flag,” Stang wrote, according to a local NBC report. “To be clear my actions were not motivated by hate for the church or its congregation. I of course realize now, this was NOT the way to go about inspiring activism.”

The incident occurred in November shortly after President Trump was elected and was widely covered by the press. The Washington Post reported on it and connected it to Trump’s victory, “The offensive graffiti at St. David’s is among numerous incidents that have occurred in the wake of Trump’s Election Day win.”

They also mentioned the vandalism in a piece entitled, “The postelection hate spike: How long will it last?It was mentioned in 15 articles by The Post, yet, as of publication time, they have yet to write about Stang’s arrest.

The vandalism was also covered by CNN in the story “‘Make America White Again’: Hate speech and crimes post-election.Just like the Post, CNN has yet to write an updated story.

In the wake of Trump’s election there has been a surge in reported hate crimes, however, they frequently end up being hoaxes. The Daily Caller News Foundation reported on five hoaxes in the weeks after the November election, including a Muslim woman who lied about her hijab being stolen by Trump supporters. Just two weeks ago, a Muslim professor at an Indiana university was arrested after he fabricated anti-Muslim crimes.

Refugee arrivals severely decline since Trump has taken office. Lowest they've been since 2013. In some popular places, Michigan for instance, refugee resettlement is the lowest it has been in more than a decade.

The US turning them down isn't the reason less and less are coming. US refugee resettlement is business as usual, just as it has always been.
The reason they're not coming is because they're choosing to go elsewhere because of Trump's "tough talk".

So because Beshear disagreed with most Democrats on same-sex that should somehow disqualify him from responding for Democrats to the POTUS State of the Union address? Was same-sex marriage a topic in the SOTU address?

I'm trying to understand why that would be important?

If the new rules are that only those who are in 100% lock-step agreement with their respective political party majorities can represent said political party...you're going to have a pretty small selection of candidates to ever do so for either side.

Strawman. I didnt say that. I said he was an odd choice and the msm wouldve crucified the gop had they done the same.

He predictably fell on his face

Those "hate crimes" were so obviously faked, even at the time. And yet the media ate it up, questioned nothing, and rushed to stir up hysteria and fear about these "hate crimes" that affirmed their dystopian vision of a Trump presidency.

...and their failure to report on the arrests of those who perpetrated these hoaxes confirms that these news outlets are more interested in advancing an agenda than reporting the truth.

What I think is funny is that he was a member of a Christian Church. If he payed any attention at all to the Bible he would be a Trump man.

his approval there is over 80 percent, smh

Obama has that high of an approval there?

Wow, look at how far France has fallen. Lafayette who helped design Washington DC was an ally to George Washington and the American Revolution towards American nationalism. Now backs globalist socialism. Amazing to see how far they've fallen.

Apparently in France there is a 48 hour campaign blackout leading up to the election.
The campaigns can't make public statements to the media in this time.

Just by chance the "Russians" released Macron's campaign emails in the day leading up to this blackout.

Macron's campaign issues a statement claiming they were hacked by " forces trying to sway the election" in the minutes before the blackout starts.
The timing conveniently prevents Le Pen from being able to publicly defend her campaign.

The whole "Russian hacking elections" is bullshit, and it's dangerous. It shows how far the left will go to gain power.
They're going to f*ck around and get the world in a war.

Flipped over to see the circus this morning. MSNBC were still talking about Russia, Carter Page and Flynn. "When did the Trump admin know about Flynn talking to Russia." Not a word about Rice declining to talk. CNN was actually being somewhat honest about the bs the Dems pulled with their behavior over the ACA vote. Their song and dance was pathetic.

Ann Arbor woman pleads guilty to making up hate crime

ANN ARBOR, MI -- A 21-year-old Ann Arbor woman pleaded guilty as charged to one count of false report of a misdemeanor in 15th District Court on Monday, March 6.

Halley Bass admitted in court that she fabricated a story about a strange man scratching her face in downtown Ann Arbor on Nov. 15.

"I was suffering from depression at the time," Bass told Judge Elizabeth Pollard Hines. "I made a superficial scratch on my face. It was visible and I was embarrassed about what I'd done. So I made up a story and told a friend that a stranger had done it while I was walking. I was encouraged to report it to the police. I made the mistake of doing that."

At the time, Bass claimed her attack was part of the surge in hate crimes following the election of Donald Trump a week earlier. She told police she was targeted for wearing a solidarity pin connected to Great Britain's "Brexit" vote.

Bass admitted to scratching her own face with the pin after becoming upset during a Woman's Literature class at the University of Michigan, according to the Ann Arbor Police Department report.

Doctors warn Minnesota measles outbreak still "early" as cases increase
There are now 44 cases reported in Minnesota, which is up from 41 on Thursday. The outbreak is primarily in the state's large Somali-American community, where many parents avoid the measles-mumps-rubella vaccine because of unfounded fears that it causes autism.

All but two of the cases involve unvaccinated patients.

Kind of off-topic, but there was a news story back in 2013 about a Canadian mother who received an over-the top anonymous letter from a neighbor saying terrible things about her autistic son including that he should be euthanized. Similar story came out of Philadelphia in 2016. Almost positive these letters are authored by the ones claiming to receive them as a result of some sick attention seeking disorder, and fully expected them to be exposed, but never found any follow-up stories in the news to that effect. Maybe the truth isn't a good enough story.

[laughing] The three Democrat politicians in the story wanted it to be true so bad.

Vandals didn't tip graves at Brooklyn Jewish cemetery: management

Police and the general manager of a Jewish cemetery in Brooklyn said that 42 fallen headstones were not caused by vandals, saying Sunday that the memorials had naturally tipped over due to age — though some elected officials were calling for an investigation, anyway.

"It definitely was not vandalism,” Marisa Tarantino, general manager of the Washington Cemetery on Bay Parkway in Midwood, told reporters.

“The older sections, as the stones wear, they do fall over or are unstable,” she continued. “What we do is we lay them across the grave to keep them memorialized rather than taking (them) away.”

A police spokesman agreed.

“There’s no evidence of vandalism,” the spokesman said. “In conference with managers of the cemetery, it appears to be a result of neglect of maintenance combined with environmental factors, such as the soil giving way.”

But later Sunday, a trio of officials stood outside the 100-acre property, demanding an investigation.

“There are many tombstones that clearly have been pushed over, clearly vandalized,” he added. “We are not talking about tombstones that are naturally lying down. There are some of those. All you gotta do is walk in there and see that something is just not right.”, said state Assemblyman Dov Hikind.

Tarantino said staff actually leaves them that way when “they are unable to be reset.”

“We do appreciate the community’s concern but if they would have called the office we would have explained it to them,” she added.
