I hope that when we kill Assad and they have a democratic election, that Russia has learned their lesson and don't interfere. The last one they fixed doesn't seem to be working out for them too well.
Am I the only one that doesn't GAF about the difference between chemical attacks compared to say having a bomb dropped on some kid's head? Choking to death or having your legs crushed and then catching on fire doesn't seem to be that big of a difference.

I hope it brings about a positive change. The odds and history are against it. I supported Trump because I thought he had the resolve to worry about America first and wanted no part in being the worlds babysitter. I think the emotional impact of the chemical attack led to this. I completely understand that. I still support him. Just don't think it leads to anything positive as I think that part of the world is hopeless.

Another thought: why do nations like Iran and North Korea spend billions of dollars and years of research and development to gain a nuclear arsenal? They could spend a fraction of that on a chemical arsenal that would probably be more effective in making enemies take notice. NK is still years away from harnessing the technology to make a nuclear warhead, but they could make Sarin and other Nerve Agents right now. Put that on a warhead, aim it at whoever you wish, mission accomplished.
This reminds me of the Clinton missile launch against bin Laden in 1998. We're sitting in the ocean launching missiles against a distant target, which to me seems cowardly rather than confrontational, and not very intimidating. That missile strike actually increased bin Laden's mystique, riled Arabs, helped him recruit, and probably ultimately led to 9/11. Similarly, I fear that the ramifications of this are going to be greater than we could have imagined.

Watching on tv free the fact it was obvious the children were dead. However the grown ups in the video who were acting in real time didn't realize they were dead and were frantically trying to save them.
