Dems keep putting up clowns vs McConnell, McConnell keeps winning even though everyone hates him, even Republicans.

I'd even vote for another republican before mitch but that primary is bought and paid for years in advance. (I can't vote in kentucky any more one way or the other but I would.)

i think MJ is a Democrat that was raised in a Republican household
he was raised in coal country
now the question will be
does he take the Obama/Hillary stance on coal or the Trump stance on coal

Where's Ole LEaK at? Haven't seen him posting much, but, I haven't been looking hard....

Probably takes the "whatever pays him the most stance". jmuo

Not to slag on old people but dude is in his mid 70s . Won't he be dead soon? we don't want old people on the roads driving so why do we vote them into office over and over ?

Have to do it. Dems made a mockery of the whole thing.

Why even have hearings anymore - waste of time and surely money...what a shame.

Dems used their power to get the nuclear option as an option when they had control and used it themselves. I am for ramping that up and using it at every turn.

With the way the Democrats are presenting themselves nationally, does he really think a red state like Kentucky is going to vote a Democrat into a Senate seat? His ego is out of control.

If you think Mags would not make the debates interesting and a stress on McConnell you are not paying attention to him. The problem is 99% of electorate don't really care about debates, facts etc. High times indeed.

He'd have a much better shot if he ran as an independent and people didn't already know his views. IMO. Cat is already out of the bag on that one though.

Repeat after me "The Dems used it one time" Thank you.

Irrelevant.
Who cares. Blow it up.

The Democrats would not have agreed to anyone other than a liberal purist. They are a bunch of queefs.

When is the last time the Republicans didn't give damn near full support for a SCOTUS nominee from a Democrat President?

Man. It's going to get really bad in Washington now with the R's using the precedent set by the Ds. I mean, the Ds may throw a hissy fit and not support any legislation that isn't full on radical leftist bullshit.

Oh, wait. The Ds already refuse to move from their far left radical bullshit position even after Paul Ryan and his band of dipshits were trying to pass Obamacare Lite.

All the Ds in Washington can eat all the leftover dicks the R establishment is too stuffed to eat.

I would vote for a flaming pile of shit before I voted for Mitch McConnell. I can't believe he keeps conning you rubes into voting for him to go to Washington and enrich himself while giving a big double bird to the people of Kentucky.

But, he's got "clout" right, guys?

And in this political climate and in this state, a mongolid with an IQ of 40 could run as a Republican and handily defeat whomever the other side put up regardless of qualification. (Same is true but reverse in places like New York and Oregon.)

Mitch will hold that seat until his old ass dies in it, which hopefully is soon.

Libs thought Grimes had a chance against Mitch as well...the LHL was even reporting it a toss-up a few days before the election. 56-40 was the outcome.

Trump will most likely have enacted health care reform and tax cuts by the end of his first term. Plus, if the current jobs/economic growth continues the next few years, Jones will be better off riding into the sunset with Ryan Lemond than battle Mitch. Of course, watching him get pummeled would be rather amusing.

On this very board the day before the Gov election, MJ said Conway would win "and it won't be close". Sounds like he still doesn't get it. Also, half of the Dem stronghold area hates him.
This is a critical point. Would you vote for Howie Lindsey in office if he ran for your party against a hated member of Congress in the other party? Probably not because you think Howie is a clown. Every Louisville fan feels the same about Matt. Given the city of Louisville is the only reliable Democrat stronghold in Kentucky this would not bode well for his chances. He has a much better shot running against Andy Barr for Congress than he does running against Mitch for Senate.

It almost like these Libs don't understand the R's are just going back to the way it was before 2003. I bet none of those idiots realize that Clarence Thomas was confirmed by a 52-48 vote.

As long as there are people who will buy votes we'll have these guys around until there are term limits. But who decides that? Them.
