Stop asking loaded, emotional questions. If you really want to learn something, ask it in good faith.
The answer is that you stop STEALING people's productivity and encourage them instead to SAVE THEIR MONEY.
The whole economy is based on CONSUMING. Every tax, every index, every measure of 'growth' and 'economic fortune' is based on CONSUMPTION.
Go back and learn Austrian economics and stop stealing from people with the inheritance tax and corporate taxes and gas taxes and air taxes and high energy costs and the income tax. Stop spending incomprehensible sums of money on nonsense, racking up enormous national debts which crush the middle class. Knock down the walls of state lines health insurance and give people choices so the middle class will not be crushed by insurance premiums. Stop rewarding congress with insider trading deals. Teach dollar cost averaging.
And finally, to answer your angry, petulant, emo question about SS - grandfather in all current recipients and those within 10 years. Everybody else has time to start saving but the government HAS to get out of the way.

It also gets those not in the system doing things by cash. There could be rebates to the poor also.
It should absolutely be investigated along with any others of both parties. However i want to see irrefutable evidence if they are going to prosecute. The prosecution needs to be above reproach.

The problem with many Republicans is that they are as delusional as those on the left, and that causes us to lose elections. Americans LOVE Social Security. They absolutely LOVE it. So when a few of guys say, "we need to phase it out" without what you would put in its place you sound like lunatic leftists who say we need to implement communism. Americans HATE HATE HATE Social Security. The money isn't enough, they have to decide when to start taking it, and the taxes go up every year. Cost of living outpaces SS on the regular. EVERY SINGLE SENIOR I have EVER talked to complains about SS. It's a dependency that is NOT healthy. If it was actually privatized then Seniors would actually have some real money in their bank accounts. But the government uses fancy accounting tricks to STEAL from Social Security and they just give seniors a pittance.

If we just went back to 2019 spending and FROZE it there, we'd be well on our way to paying off the national debt.
My question is how you would pay the current recipients their due SS if you were to go to a new system such as you suggest. If not mistaken does not the current money taken in pay for those now on it? Also, would they take the money you have already paid in (those not retired yet) and give it back to you to invest it in the new system so that you have not lost that money? A new system which I agree we need would take some serious planning so as to not disrupt current payments. Overhauling the current system would take a lot of work and some genius planning.
Oh, and about taxes, yeah, we need them, but not as much as we are paying in imo. Also, I am not opposed to letting those who do not work (capable people) starve (not the elderly of course) to the point to which maybe they will contribute by actually getting a job.
