You said Russia was expanding towards NATO so we needed to expand towards Russia first.... My position is lets both not expand and then nobody dies and war won't escalate to point of nukes being a real possibility. If Ukraine had just stayed neutral there wouldn't be a single death. Russia has millions of acres of empty land. They have tons of natural resources that they can't even get to yet. They didn't invade Ukraine to "take their land"... it's a buffer because every major invasion of Russia came through Poland and Ukraine.
