The thing about X is that if someone says something wrong it will get called out within an hour and people will know quickly. I've posted a few tweets on here that were fact checked as a wrong within that page. NY times gets something wrong and it takes a week to get corrected but by that point the lie is embedded in the public consciousness.

Because if the NYT publishes it, EVERY other outlet will parrot it for a week or more, even if they know up front it's a lie. In fact, the media is still parroting stuff from 2019 and 2017 that most outlets, including some whose personalities are still parroting it, have admitted are false.

Calling someone Hitler is defamation.
Calling someone a rapist is defamation.
Suits need to be filed to discourage such defamation going forward.

Of course memory skills and intelligence CAN be independent from one another, but in law school, you'd have to appropriately apply what you've memorized so... This is an example of media bias/bullshit. I am the biggest dog lover in the world. Every dog I've ever owned had to be put down. I chose to let the vet do the job, but I also know many many people will do the deed themselves. They are trying to make it out like she murdered her dog for no reason. There was a reason she put her dog down, health, age or whatever, she chose to do it. STOP falling for media bullshit.

One thing that concerns me, if Trump does what he needs to do, is there is going to be some short term pain associated with resetting the country. Like dieting, exercise, work, etc. sometimes there is some short term inconvenience in pursuit of the greater goal.

Given the instant gratification world we live in, I’m concerned 2 years to midterm or 4 years to the next presidential election isn’t going to be enough for the reset to bounce back. Pulling trillions of dollars of wasteful government spending out of the economy can happen quick, but incentivizing that spending by private business and individuals through tax cuts and policy will take time.

So all that said, the Trump admin just needs to completely dismantle the federal government so it can’t be easily rebuilt if the communist democrats take back control.

Reason why I'm not as gung-ho about the next few years as some. As soon as Trump tries to do something (anything) there'll be 10 lawsuits in an ultra liberal judge's court. As soon as the first deportation, not only lawsuits but the MSM and liberal cable outlets will run heartbreak stories all day and all night. With the latter I think public opinion will change to a degree....'oh those poor people'...'how mean to do this'....and so on.
Could be four years of good intentions with little actually being accomplushed.

Not sure but I do know dogs are not pets to farmers, ranch owners and so on. They have to earn their keep and if not, they put them down. Sounds crazy but it's no different than raising beef or pork, or any farm animal, they are there for a reason and if they do not perform that's money out of their pockets. Could I have done that, hell no I would have taken it somewhere for adoption, but we also know how that ends many times. Understand I was not calling @gollumcat out about this, it was how the media ran with it.

I'll give you this. If you are Trump follower, you cannot take him literally. Nothing he says can be actually interpreted as truth. The problem is, however, that it also means that he lacks credibility on any given comment. Another reason that's a poor leader, but that's neither here nor there.

Maybe because this thread has 5 pages of posts in just 6 hours... 12-15 by days end, and there are a lot of reposts of the same content by people that don't see or bother to read each other's posts. I don't have the time to keep up with it anymore, though I'd like to.

I've been in a losing battle trying to keep up with this thread. I might post something that was already mentioned, but like pages and pages away from where I'm at. If I waited until I finished getting caught up, I'd forget all the stuff I wanted to post about 😆.

It's either now or never. Hell, sometimes I hit quote on a post near the top of the page,but by the time I get to the bottom, I forgot what I was going to say. So I take it easy on duplicate posts. There's just less likes going out to the repeaters 😆.
