I'm not a Baseball guy, though I certainly respect it... that seems to me like the very obvious right thing to do all of the time, every time situation presents itself.

Like I said, rhetoric is now over and Susie Wiles will go to work to make the Trump administration successful. One thing she will do is make the Office of President less accessible. She will be in charge of scheduling for the President and keep those out who have no business visiting the Oval Office. You will see a more disciplined President with her in charge.

A baseball from the field of the Major Leagues was sacred at one time. It was beyond imagination to be able just to touch one much less have one.
Imagine having a basketball that Michael Jordan touched? Lebron? In baseball having a ball that Al Kaline may have threw, Lou Brock, Pet Rose may have hit or touched.
Now in a normal game back in the day say 30k people were at the Stadium and at some point a dozen or couple dozen baseballs made it to the fans. The fan may be able to go to a couple games a season. What are the odds of getting a Major League baseball for your own???
If you really know baseball... That is just a short summation of why it is really odd for a fan to give a baseball away. (Shows me first, they are a casual fan at best.) (Nothing wrong with that but it is true.)
Yes I have seen adults give away baseballs to kids. But it is miniscule in the grand scheme... (Look at the big picture...)
At one time before expansion, baseball was sacred to me... Now it is a watered down version of true Major League baseball at best. Just not that many great players to field what they field now....

We are seeing a President-Elect who wants to show his willingness to let bygones be bygones and work across the aisle. She called him a Nazi and we voters Nazi's but he is a man who sees a woman in deep trouble and is willing to help her. Would I do it? Hell no but I am not a politician nor do I forgive and forget like Donald Trump does. He is showing himself to be a man and taking the high road.

john bench hit a line drive hr to me in the left field lower seats at riverfront stadium, ball went through my hands to my wife sitting behind me with family members. a guy behind her nearly mauled her going after the ball, which he got. only time i ever came close to a ball at a game. my bil with me charged me with an error for not holding on to the ball

You guys are missing a couple points of context. 1. Assume he has season tix. If you sit next to the ball girl all season, you are likely yo get your share. 2. The young man appears to be sitting between 2 ladies, one younger. Could be his girlfriend, or a girl he wants to impress. If true, he scored major points w that girl. She probably humped him during sweet caroline.

You need to fire that thing at him (after you've gotten his attention of course), I mean put some mustard on it. Yeah, maybe he takes one to the face, but the ball will mean more, because he EARNED IT. Buy him a Sno-Cone to hold on his eye.
