Republicans will lose elections (including this Tuesday) until they realize the majority of the country is pro-choice and change their policies to align with the population. Make fun of those women in DC as much as you want (as I do), abortion will always be a single issue position for a ton of people and it brings them out to the polls to vote for democrats.

Look at Denmark as a similar example. Their right wing party was gaining massive support in the 2010s as the Danes supported a much stricter immigration policy compared to the other EU countries. The left wing party realized their open-immigration policy would lose them support and elections, so they adopted a strict immigration policy and are firmly in control now.

If republicans want to win future elections, they need to be pro-choice. Leaving it up to the states is not enough, it allows democrats to attack republicans and claim they are going to ban abortion all together even if it is not 100% true.
No, we will not "change our policy" to one that supports the murder of an unborn child.

Clearly I was unaware of that. I never drink tap water, because I live in Georgetown, and the water here is turrible. (High Bridge Springs/water cooler) Fluoride toothpaste though.
When I was a kid (and teenager) we used to go up and down I75 a lot. Trips to Gatlinburg and my Dad had a place on Lake Cumberland.
Don't remember which rest stop it was (between Berea and state line)...but if you stopped there you couldn't drink the water for the smell of it. Have never had water smell so much like sulfur...ever. Man was it bad. Could smell the drinking fountain yards away.

It is a state issue now. This election is showing that. Abortion fell to like 4th or 5th issues to likely voters when it was top 2 in '22.

The definition of liberal insanity. Because we KNOW every single one of these loons votes D. They are perpetually angry at the world. Angry at men. Angry at society. Angry that people have different views. Just plain angry about everything.
Mainly they're angry because they're ugly and overweight....and they know it.
Anger and jealousy at all the 'pretty' women spills over onto everything.

Jealousy is a very, very powerful emotion (sin).

Yeah, I’m the toxic force in this thread hurling insults willy-nilly. You’re just playing defense. Completely sane take. You wouldn’t even get most of your partisans here to agree with that nonsense. Disagree with my takes all you want I’m a legitimate poster, not a troll. Let's leave that to Willy.
Toxicity? Well, considering all the Democrat BS over the past 8 years.

Then republicans will continue to lose elections and democrats will secure their hold on the country as immigration rates rise.
Perhaps, and you can continue to kill innocent children and feel good about your "choice" I suppose.

You can pretend it's a state issue all you want, but half of Kamala's campaign has been about how she will protect abortion and Trump will take it away. The majority of women in swing states will go out and vote for Kamala strictly because of this issue.

Oh me too. There would’ve been it body cam footage didn’t exonerate a lot of cops especially the knife wielding lunatic that became a meme.

But you’re right. This is the least amount you’ve heard of BLM in an election season since pre Obama which I assume they didn’t need with all of the illegals.
Another effect of Twitter changing hands. They simply cannot get away with shaping narratives like they once could.

I don't personally agree with abortion, but I will not tell someone else what they can or can't do. The fact is the majority of the country does not think abortion is murder. It's all a numbers game, and democrats will win because of this.

How exactly, would she DO that? SCOTUS wasn't ambiguous on the subject.

Are you a troll? This cannot be a serious post.

If the GOP started supporting abortion, they would lose THEIR base.

You moron.

Blocked.

Argument to the masses fallacy.

In all honesty, I’d rather see the country split apart than cater to the insanity of the pro-choice position. These are people that want to kill human beings right up until birth.

No thanks. It’s as it should be now, at the state level.

She doesn't need to say how she'll do it, all the democrat base cares about during elections is voting for a candidate that says they are pro-choice and that they will 'protect women's rights'. There's probably a reason an abortion law wasn't passed during Clinton/Obama/Biden, because running on the 'promise' of protecting abortion brings people out to the polls.

Well that is what you'll get. Overturning Roe v Wade costed republicans the midterms in 2022, and it will cost the election on Tuesday.

My mother-in-law put it off, and didn't get an absentee ballot. She is an adamant never Trumper (in spite of the fact that by voting for Kamala she would be voting against almost everything she "says" she stands for. LOL)

Anyway, my wife (who already voted) won't be able to take her to the polls on Tuesday.

MIL asked me to take her to vote on Tuesday.

"Not going to happen MeMaw. LOL"

She thought I was kidding. I wasn't...

LOl. Kamala is losing. Polls show that abortion is falling as a federal election topic. Even very pro Kamala polls show it's 4th on voters minds.

Election interference! 😂

Has anyone ever been called by a pollster? I haven't

You know what else is weird? I'm 61 and I've NEVER been called for jury duty. (which is a shame, because in spite of being white and old, I'd be a defense lawyers dream juror.)
My daughter got her degree in OSHA. She worked for a major insurance company in that field till she decided to home school the kids. She got called for jury duty. It turns out the case was between a homeowner and a bank and rested on OSHA standards. The first vote was 11 to 1 in favor of the bank. She explained the rules to the rest of the jury and the second vote was 12 to 0 in favor of the homeowners. Evidently neither lawyer was smart enough to consult an expert.

Oh I understand. My point is that neither campaign believes that number. It's an insane outlier. It's not just a little favorable to Kamala... it's outside the realm of believability which is shown by the fact that neither campaign is doing work there. We can look at early voting data and see that pubs are increasing and dems aren't performing as well. Data is data.

This is just setting up the steal and her miraculous prediction of it. Making it plausible because only she saw it coming. The antithesis of Ann Coulter predicting Trump beating Hils in the 2016 election.

Sign a law passed by Congress. Either side is free to make federal abortion legislation at any time, for the bazillionth time. Either protecting or restricting. How about you point to where in the Dobbs decision you think it says otherwise.

Once to both of your questions.

About 15 years ago I was called for an Indiana state poll (governor, senator, congressman, other state offices).

About 6-7 years ago was summoned for jury duty for the trial of a young African American man possessing a handgun as a convicted felon. After several jurors were struck I was called and made it to the final jury. Right as the trial was set to begin, we were excused from the courtroom. When we came back it was just the judge and a bailiff; the judge explained that the defendant accepted a plea deal….. and that was that. I think I got paid ~ $20 for being at the court for 5-6 hours.

I've been in Wisconsin a several times the last few months and a ton Kamala/local democrat ads are about abortion. I highly doubt Kamala will lose

Dems are saying/doing whatever they think will keep them in DC. Open borders would resume Day 1 Kamala is elected including amnesty for the millions here already just like it did when Joe was installed. “Surge the border” They haven’t changed a bit.
