I don't really understand your question as it relates to my post. The state of Florida, if I'm not mistaken, currently bans abortions after 6 weeks. I do not know if any of the obvious exceptions apply to the current law. To my knowledge, the current law doesn't attempt to or specify when a fetus is viable. It only sets a time limit of 6 weeks, so, again, not sure exactly what your question is seeking.
In my opinion, abortion is a moral choice until the fetus is viable, whenever the state defines 'viability'. Most/all states have determined viability in murder cases when a pregnant woman is murdered and no one is protesting that an individual should be prosecuted for two murders if the mother is 7 weeks pregnant. So, what is the difference? Once the fetus is legally viable, then it has the same rights as any individual. An ectopic pregnancy that is terminated at any point in the pregnancy is not deemed an abortion and does not fall under abortion laws because it is NOT a viable pregnancy. The fetus cannot survive and the pregnancy must be terminated.
From a political perspective, if much of the far Leftist agenda is harmful to the US and individuals but they can win elections based on this one issue, isn't it better to compromise somewhat on this one issue to keep the Left from totalitarian destruction of the country?
