I think the modern Democratic Party is an existential threat to the republic. And although I am a Democrat, I've been a Democrat my whole life. The party that I see in front of me today is literally the inverse of the party I signed up for.

Two main factors. Policy and age. Biden was down as far as he was because people who voted from him in 2020 were abandoning him. For those two reasons, his decline and Gaza. Kamala isn't a hundred years old, so that brought back all those voters. She was VP so has plausible deniability on Gaza. Remains to be seen whether she'll put her foot in her mouth there, but so far many of that demographic are back onboard too just because she isn't Biden.
This is why I'm stuck in the middle. I don't agree that non-citizens should be allowed to vote. Either stick it out and become a citizen in this country, giving you privileges, or don't. And the border needs to be zipped up. On the other side, people ought to be able to do whatever they want with their own bodies. Thanks, RFK.

The states control abortion rules, not a political party. I think that is a good thing. Universal healthcare means you can't pick your doctor. I think that is a bad thing. Let us wait on the fake elector thing. Trump is still running around all over the country and hasn't been convicted of that. Both parties have federal abortion positions. Either could pass a federal law setting nationwide policy any time they can get it done. It's only up to the states at the moment.
He made the fake electors. Whether he actually gets convicted and sentenced for it is irrelevant. He did it. He deserves to be strung up for treason for what he did, not just whatever may or may not happen to him in the justice system. Whatever happens won't be enough.
Universal healthcare means everyone has healthcare. You'll probably have far more options than insurance gives you now. For much less cost. Our healthcare system has far worse outcomes per dollar we spend than the socialized systems in Europe. You aren't Elon Musk who can afford the best whatever the cost.
