I doubt anyone thinks that Rome had a black emperor as that term, black person, is used in this country today. Rome had emperors from what we recognize as Africa, but I do not think it had emperors that would be called black, as we understand and use the word.

You claim to be the historian here. You made a comment that I think most would conclude as black, as in subcontinent African, which I think is wrong. Now, it appears you mean darker complexioned, not black.

If that is what you now mean, we would probably agree.
Did you not know that Cleopatra was African American and looked just like Whoopie Goldberg. Not a joke.

That is really disappointing to learn...

The first history teacher taught the class how there were no “white people” in Rome. It was just another land north of the African Empire. In 325 AD at the Council of Nigeria, Augusteen (a native Kenyan from the land of Wakanda Atlantis) euthanized Christianity as the religion to replace all the African Gods due to a dream he had where Christ descended from Ethiopia and saved all of humanity from white supremacy. True story.
Not only that....the First 5 Popes were African American as well, most notably Pope Charles Tha God.

It's hilarious for anyone educated in this system to say "African ancestry" means you're "dark complected" when, according to the sht we call a system calls Africa (somewhat internationally) "the cradle of civilization." According to the "evolution from primates" brand of neanderthals that take no other evidence into account, ALL humans came from the continent of Africa, so all have "African ancestry."

They can't even keep their own sht straight ffs. What a bunch of weetards.

One of the wealthiest men on earth is an African American. Elon Musk.

What distinction are you trying to make? The contention was about diversity. Whatever skin shade emperors from other ethnicities outside of Italy were they're still diverse. No need to get all race-sciencey about it and pull out the skin tone chart.

Like Biden, he claims to be whatever he needs to be at the time. You know, Jack of all trades and a master of none. But, in his case, the Jerk of all Trades and a Masters in BS.

Was the society diverse?

Extremely. That was what we were talking about, not how dark counts as 'black'. The society was noticeably diverse; if you found yourself walking the streets of Neapolis or any other Roman city, even in the heart of Italy itself, there would've been people from cultures and ethnicities all over the known world. Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.

I’ve told this story before here: a black girl in a class with me at UK swore that Africa was the largest continent and got angry, really angry, upon being told otherwise.

Reparations for the mind.
Depends on where you draw the line between Europe and Asia, right? Kind of an arbitrary designation.

Even the “African” emperors were likely of Italian descent, in part.

You made the comment. Not me. I have come to the conclusion that you just don’t know of what you speak and then when you are shown to be wrong, you cry like a victim and accuse others of poor motives.

When was I shown to be wrong or did I accuse you of poor motives? Now you're just making stuff up.
