The Constitution didn’t protect the freedom of slaves either. Until we changed it to do so. Now you’re the one now conflating two different things, we were talking about our foundational ideals and how best to carry those ideals into the future. Specifically a discussion of “all men are created equal” in the Declaration, not any technical legalities in the Constitution. What freedom means.
Actually, you don't know what the hell you're talking about.
Wrong again. You call me old & can't remember what Trump did do to this country that killed us ever since. Pre-dates Jan. 6..
The Constitution didn't protect the freedom of slaves either. Until we changed it to do so. We were talking about freedom itself. Foundational ideals of "all men are created equal" in the Declaration, not any legal technicalities in the Constitution. Now who's the one conflating again? The Constitution doesn’t protect you from being poor or from your parents authority over you. Both of those are absurd when it comes to which system of government better protects liberty.
Or you've just been misrepresenting what I and the left believe. Probably intentionally.Again, this is antithetical to what you say you believe.
Being able to do more things is directly more freedom. If I'm free to go to Disney world this weekend I'm more free than someone who has obligations keeping them from that. Correct?
Slaves were not free. They were owned by their masters. Private entities. Not the government.
Not just that ... if you DON'T LIKE SOMETHING she said!So disagreeing with something she said is RAYSIS!!
????????????????????????????????????????????? No, they were not. Those were at the master's behest. When you're to the point you're arguing literal slaves are free it's probably time to get off the internet for the day. Coaching search got you shook.
How would this go over for documentation ... I lowered standards across the board and hired people that did not earn the job and are unable to do the job. Would that person get promoted??
You know you've already lost when you have to resort to this type of bad faith gamesmanship. So, you're saying no government in the history of the world ever owned slaves, as opposed to private ownership?
Literally, what you just typed.
Just give up, RCB.
He will never get it. Even if he did get it, he would NEVER admit it and acknowledge that you are correct.Your examples have nothing to do with liberty. The ability to afford something you want has nothing do with whether or not you are a free person. In your example, Fiji, lobster, etc., are all finite resources. Price is the most efficient way to allocate those resources. Everyone still can't live on the beach in Fiji, irrespective of the economic system. In your world, the government would allocate those finite resources. So who would live on the beach and eat lobster, the bureaucrats that run the system, or the people who do their bidding. Either way, finite resources have to be allocated. One method is efficient and driven by market forces. The other is inefficient and driven by individuals who hand them out as favors or take them for their own.
He screwed up admittimg that the government did not own the slaves and therefore the government is not responsible legally for reparations. So, you're saying no government in the history of the world ever owned slaves, as opposed to private ownership?

Sam voted for a child molester... let that sink in.
Gawd I hope you are right. Pope? We cannot have sunk that low.We ain't hiring Mark Pope. Billy D is the play here, Thamel is just looking for rage and clicks.

What an odd choice of words. Shapiro covered this today. Do these people realize what abortion does? It terminates a life. An innocent one at that.
we don't have to imagine. We have several of these scum on here.
Good lord, if you look up "bad faith gamesmanship" his handle shows up...No sir. You're on the record, and since you like to play legal scholar, words matter.
Gawd I hope you are right. Pope? We cannot have sunk that low.
Barnhart had a plan, he probably had that “plan” for years, but that “plans” roots grew deeper and deeper where he is and ultimately faith and family foiled that “plan” for Drew.Well, I can’t imagine Joe Craft allowing this to happen. I just can’t.
fire Barnhart. Cal needed to go but Mitch should’ve had a plan before letting him to walk. Ridiculous management.
Yes. Cal was not fired. He walked and Barnhart had no plan.
Guys ...No we don't. Freedom, as I stated in my previous post, has nothing to do with material possessions. Being able to own more stuff doesn't mean you have more liberty than those who can't afford as much.
Only thing that sucks about Billy is we could potentially have to wait weeks (assuming his bulls win the play in game) before hiring him and possibly lose out on a lot of good transfers from the portal. But even then...I'd rather Mitch find a way to hire him over Pope even though the waiting game with Billy would suck. This sure doesn't sound like a no.

No I'm not. Nowhere in what I said does it say what you got out of it. And you fully admit you're intentionally obfuscating, so no reason to waste any more of all of our time.No sir. You're on the record, and since you like to play legal scholar, words matter.
You’re a self declared communist. No risk of misrepresenting such evil, as it predates you by about a century and is well known for its horrors.Or you've just been misrepresenting what I and the left believe. Probably intentionally.
Rafters in full meltdown mode……
Republicans are the problem. Democrats are obviously a problem too.
Totally agree. Not expecting much next season. Beating Ark and usual rivals would be nice. One thing I will like about Pope (besides he obviously played at UK) is the basketball program will put Kentucky first...unlike what Cal was doing. He will be coming here to hopefully win championships and not win draft night.
