I really don't like when the 'front runner' name is besmirched in such a way.
I'd like to see him get Jeff as an assistant, not for the Reed reason, just to get some youngblood in to fire things up again.
I've waded around over there, Some of our fans are just ridiculous. It's no wonder why some Coaches turn us down. Give Pope a chance, he's one of ours. If he succeed's he's a lifer. People writing him off or writing UK Basketballs obituary before he's ever coached a game is insane and stinks of entitlement. Too many fans think we should just be able to dictate who comes here.
Don't like it, leave. No one is forcing you to stay.
And all you're going to get is a Commie/Socialist agenda dictated by the WEF/UN. The American Dream is dying and You fail to realize you are just being used as a pawn to move that agenda forward. they want your (illegal) vote so they can retain power. They want you upsetting the American way of life to the point our country fails in order to usher in their agenda. Be thankful, you're being treated better than homeless veterans or homeless Americans in general.

I saw Pitino said he will send a NIL check to help Pope win a championship at UK. He seems to have a lot of support and the big money folks seem bought into Pope. Still a risky as hell move by Mitch...but my support is growing for Pope as the coach. Also it has to at least up the chances that Reed returns.

I think it’s cause Pope just had that loveable personality and is a beloved former player. As shocked as many were by the hire you just can’t stay mad for long about him. There's no enforcement or punishment with the current law. it's just feel good.
What move/coach - that you can get & afford - wouldn't be risky? There's no guarantee any coach would succeed with our fans idea of success being a NC or two.
