9-0 decision today was heartening. America needed that. Sure, I can see how SCOTUS may have split decisions on cases that are indeed legally murky and ambiguous. This was not one of those cases. It was all right there printed in plain English in the Constitution. Any rational, semi-intelligent person could read it and see exactly how this ruling should have come down.

But that’s why today was equally disheartening because it is clear from the meltdown reactions among the liberal media that they were heavily invested in the deranged notion that Trump could be disqualified in this fashion. It just shows how willing libs are to entirely ignore even the most obvious elements of the Constitution to achieve their political ends.

Those positions aren’t inconsistent in any way. You seem to have a fundamental misconception of basic civics. SCOTUS and legislatures, whether state or federal, are not the same. As I just posted. SCOTUS made Roe, SCOTUS has never ruled on the legality/constitutionality of fake electors under the Electoral Count Act or the revision from 2022. They’re entirely different standards and situations. One was, by definition as it originated from SCOTUS, constitutional and the other isn't.
