Here's your situations: You have a candidate in Ron DeSantis that can easily win the presidency but he'll never get the chance because either Trump wins or he turns his election conspiracy lies ON YOU and blows the whole thing up by claiming you cheated him out of the Republican nomination.
That's the problem with creating these monsters. They turn on you.
Now I am fully committed to supporting and voting for Ron DeSantis. He is an educated man. He took over Florida when it was practically illegal to say the words "climate change" and he 180 flipped the script by just prefacing his climate change plans for Florida with "We're not going to do any of this crazy liberal climate change stuff BUT...." then he proceeded to lay out his climate change agenda. So he knows how to snow the Neanderthals to get things done.
DeSantis also will take it to the woke crowd which nobody can stand. Universally the whole country is ready to pile on these dumbasses and that is a huge winning position to have.
But, of course, Republicans being Republicans and having proven time and time again they know how to lose Presidential elections, Trump will either win the Republican nomination then get pounded in the general by a very weak Joe Biden and a historically disliked Cameltoe because Independents view Trump like the plague, or DeSantis will win the Republican nomination only to watch Trump burn it all to the ground.
So once again Republicans are working hard at losing. The only thing really they are good at.

If by some miracle that I just can't see that the Republicans can get Trump out of the way and run Ron DeSantis, I guarantee a historic landslide for RD with him sweeping the entire Midwest along with Virginia, NC, AZ, CO, and NV. RD could put the Midwest solidly in Republican hands for a generation just like what happened with the South because wokeism is going to kill the Democratic Party and RD is perfectly positioned to help them do it.
