The billions of years old scenario would mean death existed before original sin. A Biblical young earth creation model would be about 6000 years old give or take with the creation of man on day 6. It wasn’t until roughly the 1800s that this was ever really even questioned.

That’s not necessarily true. There are many scientists that hold a young earth viewpoint. They just don’t get the mainstream verification for the obvious reasons.
Simply put, geological records can and often are flawed. C14, fossil records, radiometric dating, rock layers etc all have their fair share of scientific holes in them and many don’t account for Gods creation of an “aged” earth and what a catastrophic event such as the flood of Noah would have on geologic structures.
The Biblical suggestion of a spheric earth and one that orbits around the Sun were also discounted by the science at there time until the same science was proven wrong and updated.
I’m in healthcare, so I’m far from anti science. But science is always changing and being corrected despite what Fauci says lol and secular culture is always quick to attempt to discredit scripture wherever it can.
I didn’t agree to it, I just contested a different part of your post. DNA transcription is not a photocopy(a picture of a picture). DNA works on base pairs. The double helix splits and then the two now-broken strands are matched pair by pair. Each adenine is given a thymine and each cytosine a guanine. Mistakes in this transcription(mutations) can and do occur, but they’re very rare. Your body is constantly replicating DNA and almost every one of those transcriptions is perfect. Nothing is lost. That’s so dissimilar from your photocopy example as to render it functionally useless. There is no constant rate of degradation in that way.
Not sure, but I think the Presbyterian church, which Covenant is, is accepting of gay and alphabet issues.

Even if God created it intentionally “aged” to fool us for some reason, complete with dinosaur fossils in the ground, that still wouldn’t explain the aboriginal record. People had to be there to see the ancient sea levels. They couldn’t’ve made up a geographically accurate history out of whole cloth. They know about islands that have been under the waves since before you say the Earth was created.

Dinosaurs were created day 6 of creation. Most were buried and fossilized during the flood. Two seemed to survive after the flood. Biblical accounts of Behemoth and Leviathon suggest these being dinosaurs.
All people (including Aborigines) are descendants from Noah’s family post flood (roughly 2350 BC).
