The same reason anyone goes to work and gets their paycheck. To buy things with it. Netflix and avocados and all the other millennial tropes.
In today’s world with no safety nets it’s unfathomable. That’s the whole point of reinvesting it though, using it to support the rest of society. Universal healthcare and basic income. Spouses would be a special circumstance with the whole entwining of finances you’d have to make allowances for but the point isn’t leaving people destitute it’s preventing destitution in the first place.

There are a lot of young people who feel like they don’t fit in to society, and look for a cause and other people and things to blame for their failings. Dion found his savior in communism. Other young incels find their savior in social media influencers.
As I’ve said many times before, the political spectrum is a circle, and the far “right” is next to the far “left”. They’ve dust found their saviors in different sides of the same coin.
Meanwhile, some of us just want to be left alone by the federal government and leave a better world and communities for our families. Not have some burnout misguided incel push communism on the country because he’s unhappy with his life.
