Taiwan is an island so the only real way to invade is by sea and air. If you're asking me if it matters if we know ahead of time then...it does not. We can't do anything about it unless we nuke them, and that would be the most epically stupid idea ever.

I don't think it's given that China can take Taiwan w/o catastrophic losses and other coming to its aid. World has a lot to lose in semiconductor production over such an event. Think there are chip shortages now? It's nothing compared to losing Taiwan.

When saying logistics I was talking about our ability to project force into the region. It is impossible for us to bring enough force to bear to stop the invasion. Hence, we cannot stop the invasion.
Also, China is not Russia. They won't' have to much trouble with Taiwan. They also won't invade until we get our chip factories up and running. I have a hunch that was agreed upon.

So he's 18, somehow gets a firearm, and he shot his grandmother before going to school, which leads me to believe (speculate) that he's living with his grandmother, and probably for a reason. Seems to me like this was really a mental health issue.

If we guard airports and court buildings like this.. why not add some security to schools when there's virtually none? Airports and government buildings are guarded because they know there are lunatics out there. Starting in two years, have a public list of every school across the country that doesn't have a resource officer present at all times. That should cure libs of their fear of guns in the hands of trained officers at the schools. Their choice.
