I often don't agree with Rex Chapman but I respect his opinions and wish him nothing but the best. Still, though, I don't see how you can objectively call him a "home run". He has a long history of making bad decisions and rushing to (and sharing) judgments before verifying the facts.

SI: Chapman, 47, says he doesn't recall committing these alleged crimes because he was in a scrambled, foggy state of mind, which was largely the result of an addiction to prescription narcotics that stretches back more than 15 years

And so on.
The home run was in reference to his playing career. I don’t agree with everything he says and posts. But it doesn’t diminish what he did playing for UK. And he was pretty much universally loved until he got political.

He was born with unworldly athleticism, had a father who was a former basketball star at WKU and coached him all the way to college. Those 2-3 advantages where instrumental in his success. Yet he acts like he was wronged and had a rough life.
Sounds like ol T Rex should be apologizing for the “privileged” life he was given 😉.

He was failing miserably until South Carolina when the powers that be decided he would be their chosen puppet. Then magically he began rattling off primary wins. Was it because of some brilliant speech he gave or groundbreaking policy idea he introduced? Nope. He was the guy that was most easily controlled. They screwed your boy Bernie twice Dion. You should be madder than hell at them. But you’re not. Yet you call conservatives mindless followers.
Complete BS. He won fair and square. Both the primary and the general. My candidate didn’t win, but you don’t see me crying about it like you bunch of babies. Y’all’re sore losers.

Couple of points re: your post:

1. Democrats closed ranks to give Biden the nod for POTUS nomination. I wouldn’t say the moderates “smashed” the progressives in total votes. Rather, I would say the fix was in for 2020 just like it was in 2016. Sanders had a lot more support among Democrats than the primary results would indicate. The fixers in the DNC saw Biden as the safer, more palatable candidate and they cleared the path for him to get the nomination.

2. Both parties have become more “extreme” in their positions. Pro-life Democrats are essentially extinct, whereas pro-choice Republicans are still relatively prevalent (I use this as a surrogate for the culture issues). I would argue the Dems have become much more extreme over the past 20 years or so.

I’m conservative, I have no great love for the GOP, but it best represents my views.
See above. He wasn’t cheated. Show me one iota of evidence. The other moderates just dropped out after the SC showing and threw their support behind Biden. Every result you don’t like isn’t cheating.

I want no part of so-called Dim moderates. Even Manchin only looks good by comparison, but I'd vote any Pub candidate for Senate in WV except Trump himself over Manchin. In the case of Trump, I'd find someone else.
Then you deserve what you get. Which will be Trump and Trump clones. West Virginia and Kentucky are two of the poorest, shittiest, least educated states in the union. It’s no wonder they’re the Trumpiest. The rest of the Republican Party will follow.

'Fair and square', Sure. Maybe you don't remember mayor Pete and all the 'moderates' dropping out before super Tuesday, amd Warren sticking in to siphon off bernie votes until after. Totally rigged.

Lol harder to vote. More like harder to vote illegally
Their Din Gov already vetoed some improved voting laws so I assume this will go down the tubes too.

"Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers vetoed a series of bills Tuesday passed by the state’s Republican-controlled Legislature that would have imposed new restrictions on absentee ballots in the key battleground state."

If anyone remembers Kent State, I was a military policeman at the time. Shortly after Kent State, the brass was worried about a protest at one of our sites. They took about a 100 or so of us and put us on standby to deploy as back ups if necessary. The issued us M-16's and NO AMMO and told us none would be issued. They didn't want another Kent State, but if something would have happened, there was no way to protect ourselves. Luckily, we were not deployed, but that was a potential disaster waiting to happen.
Wait, you were worried about the military’s safety after the Kent State Massacre? Beyond warped.

Trump policies clones are great ideas & have nothing specially to do with KY & WV. So yes, I'll deserve & be happy with them. Now tell me something bad instead.

Good ol' Marxist Elite, continuing to make friends and influence people through kindness and understanding...LOL No wonder Trump won, people are sick of you filth and your arrogance.

America & Canada have fallen to enemies from within, who have hijacked their governments. The US government is now authorized, without impediment, to weaponize all agencies & systems to destroy any opposition to dictatorial & authoritarian rule by the Marxist Democrats.
I never knew Canada had so few protections for the freedom of their citizens till Trudeau started on this dictator rule path. Damnation. Sure makes you appreciate the 1st & 2nd Amendments more.

Fair enough…. but once someone in the public eye chooses to freely expound on their political views, they need to own the blowback that follows.

I agree. I don’t care what he says and posts but I’m sure he knows half the people will agree and half will not. My main point was I can separate his playing days from his political posting. Most can’t.

I just don't line up to wipe Trump's a$$ like the rest of you. Y'all don't know his sh!t stinks.
Of course it does and he’s far from the savior people think he is. HOWEVER, he has been the ONLY, and I repeat ONLY, one to fight back against liberal lunacy rather than apologize for whatever they accuse him of.

Beyond tired of seeing these weak minded Rinos get up there and get trampled by the sadistic tactics of the left. We need someone to look right back and tell them to go F themselves. Love him or hate him, Trump did that, and it’s so incredibly rare, tens of millions of people starving for real leadership latched on.

He was a jackass on Twitter and said all the mean things most think, but his policies were 100% pro American and most importantly, he never bowed down to the lies. Always fought back like a true leader should.

I’d love to vote for someone with his policies and fight, but also a bit more tactful in the process. Haven’t seen that person yet…

It has nothing to do with any of your woke bullshit. They just saw from the lockdowns that they can make a lot more reliable money from drive thru only stores. All that fancy couches, wifi, board games, etc is just high overhead most people don't give a shit about.

I don't care if people are privileged, I actually applaud them. It's when that privileged person cries and asserts that he is a victim, that runs me wrong.
Trump can’t help it. He’s been playing the victim for so long he believes it.

Ds stole the nomination from your candidate Bernie multiple times, now you defend them. Textbook cuck.

……you forgot to mention how bigoted we are….

Your sentiment is a common view in the Democratic Party and goes a long way in explaining why the Dems are deeply unpopular in places like Ky and WVa.

I've lived for years in both as well as the literal Trumpiest state of all, WY. I'm not some liberal coastal elite. I know them well as I live and work here every day. What I said is true. You can look up the numbers yourself. And yes I left off bigoted because it wasn't relevant to the conversation but you brought it up. Dems are highly unpopular in KY and WV exactly because they embrace minorities, immigrants, and the LGBTQ community. Democrats dominated both states for decades before the last few years when politics became more culture war than economics.

Look it's, Mr. Generalization. Making absurd claims yet again!

Raise your hand if you think this is legit. My guess is that it is the US that will false flag us into a war with Russia. They had to wait out Trump but it looks like a war with Russia is imminent.

Remember the Maine!!!

Freedom is white supremacy

Depending on what happens with midterms, we could we'll see the rollout of their crackdown on "hate speech". I predicted they would do it after winning but instead we got a softer version labeled "misinformation".

They're also pushing employers to police speech much like the covid restrictions, although this hasn't gotten out to the public....yet. And remember, weeks before it was ever public I told this board about the government forcing vaccine mandates on Medicare/medicaid providers.
