I never said that was acceptable or made excuses for any politicians that did. They should have been arrested and jailed without help from politicians or wealthy political donors.

No...because there was no evidence. That's the whole point. There was none that would have overturned the election. The mail in ballot issue only became a legal challenge after Trump lost. The judges ruled that they had a year to have filed to stop mail in/absentee ballots but didn't. Too late after they had been used and the vote counted and certified.
Basically the Supreme court said....if you wanted something done about it you should have done it before you lost....a year ago.
