An update to this. Had a friend curse at me and block me because I said this on that tweet, "serious question. When will we acknowledge obesity is unhealthy? I'm glad they feel 'confident and sexy' everyone should be confident in themselves. But we also, as a country, suffered from the virus more so because of obesity and other related health issues."

I was called a moron for not knowing how "wrong it is to measure obesity by bmi", and that I'm a moron and my comment "wasn't christ like."

This girl hates her body and weight. Is a liberal, and a teacher. She's one of those "you can't have an opinion" type too.

I'm just wondering how my reply to the Hooters article is mean, insulting, or unchristian in any way...
Then they would want to kill me because I thought it was a picture of mass suicide by beached whales.

We do need to vote, though.

I listened to people until roughly 12:30 AM last Tuesday/Wednesday, saying that Youngkin wouldn’t win because the Dems were going to find all the ballots they needed in Fairfax.

They kept saying this even after it was clear that the votes did not exist. Period.

It’s a bad, and ignorant look to keep beating that drum, even when it’s clear it’s not going to unfold.

Plus, it distracts from legitimate fraud concerns that can be addressed.

That said, yes, we seem to be on the precipice of war. Unfortunately, I don’t see which powerful nation is willing to take a stand against the tyranny. So, who leads? Trump from Mar-a-Lago? Ted Cruz from his perch on Capitol Hill?

With the US, China, Russia, Australia, and most of Europe all in cahoots on this thing, who rises up and overthrows them?

This is not going to end peacefully. But, in the meantime, yes, vote.

The Republican Party hired ex cops privately and they spent a month up there stopping the steal prior to the election. So that’s why the Dens were shut down. Jersey was still able to come from behind for the victory.

Bought a package of Oreo cookies yesterday and they cost $4.99. After taxes over $5.00. I truly believe that is the goal of this admin.
The Marxist/demoncrat party has declared war on America. The damage they're doing to the country has got to be intentional no one can be this incompetent. With them it a case of we've got to burn it down in order to build it back into the communist country that they want. Nikita Khrushchev was right when he said, that communism would take America over without firing a shot. And with the help of the Godless democrat party they've just about done it.

I was just about to say that I haven't checked in on the news much today, has Biden went full Canuck and dropped the N-word? He is getting so close.

When he does...and it will happen...the media will write articles like 'President Biden's use of the N-word did not reveal any racism on his part, instead it highlighted his urban street cred with young people of color.'
I'm missing something in all this: Did Biden actually say Negro or did he say N-word & all the media are covering for it? If Negro, what's the BFD?

Speaking of cookies…. while parked outside of eye doctor’s office, I witnessed at least 40 obese women going into CrumbL Cookies in a 30 minute period. I mean they were big ole heifers. If the virus catches them, I don’t like their survival chances.

Need more closet Republicans to work elections (those counting the votes) across the country especially in these Dem controlled areas that most of the fraud goes on. Could go a long way in sabotaging the steal because taking video and all as evidence is not going to get anything done now.

Welcome to liberal Idiocracy. Where opinion is presented as fact and they shout down anyone they can't beat with logic.

Is the goal here to completely destroy the middle class? I can't think of any other reason. How stupid are people in the middle class to vote for this. It cost me 40 to $50 more to fill up now. I'm sure one of the resident libs will deny this.

I'm convinced my Google phone tries to make me look like an idiot. It constantly misspells things. I wrote l i b s the first time and it changed it to lives.

The fact alone that the CDC does not collect data on the naturally immune proves this is all about control and forcing the vaccine on the population. In a sane normal world we would be exploring all avenues to treat and irradiate, we would factor in everything, natural immunity’s from previously infected would be at the forefront. But no, we have globalists, hellbent on forcing this experiment on everyone.

Honestly, sometimes I'm glad my guy isn't in office (ok, not really), because at least I don't have to hear it. For 4 years, every damn holiday was a total Trump whinefest. And now that he's gone, it's like none of them even read or watch the news. They got their guy in, because that's what MSM and MTV told them to do, and they haven't checked on things since.

My step grandmother's response the other night was literally "Well at least there's no mean tweets". My Dad and I couldn't believe it. Couldn't believe this was really something a voter cares about and hasn't paid one bit of attention to anything after election night.

I feel for families who have to face the inflation head on. We have no kids yet, work from home 100%, have rental income coming in.. we're just not spending if we don't need to. We're fortunate to be in a spot where this economy isn't blasting us, because at 34, we've both already been through two crashes. Anyone in their mid 30's has been dealing with an uphill battle since graduating college.

Although, paying for a wedding isn't helping... that shit is up to $40k. Per plate cost is $105. Our friends getting married down in Westchester, NY? Plates are $215/person!!

Unless you lived through the 70's & early 80's as an adult, we haven't begun to see serious inflation. Was 15-20% per year at times. But everyone is right to be worried about the rapid climb today as it can quickly spiral out-of-control.

I noticed at the hotel I work at that we have had a lot of Sunday weddings lately. Part of it is because since no one could have a wedding in 2020 that everyone was putting them off until 2021. But I looked into it and a lot of the venues in Louisville charge several thousand less for Sunday than they do on Saturday. Some even literally half as much.

If I ever get married, that's what i'll be doing.

Jeesh. My wife and I got married in a 100 guest wedding at our church and paid around $1k including minister, dress, cake and sodas. There were two solo songs and a duet as well.

I've thought the same thing...would hate to be young (again) with 3 kids with the way this economy is going. And I think it's going to get worse.
We are somewhat like you...only older. Both retired but no bills to speak of. Have been debt free for quite some time...rental income coming in as well...so we too won't be spending unless we need/want to.
But I sure feel sorrry for those young families where the bills/mortgage/car payments/etc are not an option.

I bet Gassy would eat this pizza.

What I simply do not understand about weddings is the invite list. When my brother got married I knew literally every single person on the grooms side except one. And that was a guy that was childhood friends with his wife. She pretty much told my brother "Make him a groomsman or he is gonna be a bridesmaid". Other than that? Family and close friends.

On the other hand, I'm walking around talking to people all night. "how do you know the bride and groom?". "Oh well when she was 6 they lived across the street from us for 6 months"

Dafuq? You get free food and booze for that? Nope.

I always laugh when people say commenting on an obese person is not "Christ like". Christ considered gluttony a sin. And as they say, sin is sin

Don't do it lol. Sunday's are cheaper and you can save on the booze. But honestly, the gift should be less in this case.

I was a teenager then and worked in a grocery store. I was constantly raising prices on dairy products with a label gun. Women customers were making comments as they walked by and not happy.

Me and my wife have great jobs and live very comfortable now so although we are feeling the pinch at the pump and in the grocery store we can absorb it and be fine. However, it took years of grinding to get to this point. Luckily, we did not have massive student loan debt and have been responsible with money. Most importantly, we grew our wealth and assets without the burdens of high inflation, skyrocketing house prices, etc. I really feel for younger folks who have tried to do it the right way like we did and are in a position now where they are struggling to get ahead because of everything going.

My biggest fear is the future. The path we are on is completely unsustainable and the day of reckoning will come before many of us want to retire. The boomers in power have completely failed this country with their greed, thirst for power and irresponsible spending. Now we have the younger generation coming into power that are angry and want change because they are struggling to get ahead. Its all going to come to a boiling point sooner than later.

The reality is this. When my brother got married he and his wife wanted EVERYONE at the rehearsal dinner. So there was something like 200 people there. My parents paid for all of it. When it was all said and done my mom just said "when you get married, we will just give you the cash we spent on this dinner. Elope and use it for the honeymoon"

Sounds like a plan to me!

1000% IDK what my future holds, but if things were to not work out with my fiancee, one thing I would NEVER do, is get married a 2nd time. Have kids? Fall in love? Sure. But will never do this over. It's a lot of work, stress, money and it's basically all for the guests. I think it's crazy.
