This list is the equivalent of saying Republicans are:
Racist
Anti poor people
Pro billionaire
Pro global warming
Pro police killings
Etc.
You're taking views that some people have and ascribing them to everyone. One of the Republican Senators even put for vote whether people were pro refund the police and 99 senators voted no. The other was out for Covid. That means every single Democrat in the Senate is against refund the police so you saying Democrats are for refund the police is wrong.
Also no one is for open borders. People are for more immigration than we currently have. Having more open borders does not mean totally open. That's an absolute. Talking in absolutes is just silly, but it seems to be the conservative way these days. No nuance or thought. Just an over the top absolutist reaction.
Congratulations "Fact checker" for admitting you don't understand at all how the senate works. The vote you speak of literally means nothing, which is part of what they call "vote-a-roma" in the budget resolution process. The votes are completely non binding. And democrats know that, it was a mistake by tuberville for sure, but the vote means nothing. So why would they say otherwise? All they really accomplished tho was pissing off the far left...also known as the house who has members directly say defund. Lol. Lololololololol that you think if they were going to pass a bill that cut funding they would name it straightforward. I mean afterall they are currently trying to jam through deeply unpopular bill based solely on poorly worded polls....talk about nuance.
Here's an explanation:
"As this CRS report explains, Section 310(d) of the Budget Act "bars the consideration of any amendment to a reconciliation bill that would increase the deficit." Hence the "deficit-neutral" part.
And what about "reserve fund"? According to CRS, "'Reserve fund' refers to any provision establishing procedures to revise spending or revenue levels, or both, if certain legislation is enacted or some other condition is met." So that specifies that the policies for which reserve funds are established won't take effect unless other legislation gets passed as well."
In other words: Congress would have to actually pass new laws in this upcoming fiscal year for these votes to matter.
My point being is if they were to cut funding as if they would actually introduce a bill called "defund the police". Lol, have you not learned anything. Like when they passed a "covid relief" bill in the spring without coming up with a way to pay for it...and the bill had nothing to do with covid. Yet, there you were "Republicans don't care about people!" I don't know what they really believe but they encouraged cities burning to the ground, and if they wanted to redirect funds they wouldn't do so in a direct way. I don't know what's so hard about saying reform other than they think twitter is real life and they constantly gaslight this shit.
Or like now, when an "infrastructure bill" has nothing to do with infrastructure. Because you'd know in reality there's overwhelming bipartisan support for the infrastructure part. They won't break that off tho and there you are claiming Republicans don't care about anyone. It's why democrats are attacking people in their own party claiming "its bc something something billionaires!" And un-americanly stalking them in bathrooms bc they're too dumb to understand the bill. Talk about inability for nuance. But then again you believe it cost nothing and they won't raise the deficit, there won't be anyone taxed below 400k, and taxing imaginary numbers like futures is constitutional. All feelings based.
Bernie sanders in going to ensure losing the congress to Republicans by pushing a Trojan horse bill during a 50-50 split senate and 3 seat majority house on top of biden, the leslie nielsen of DC, who acts like he's a helpless bystander in this complete disaster of a 1st year...and youll still be claiming we're losing our democracy and something about trump who hasn't been president for almost a year. Or setting incredibly dangerous precedents like claiming any middle of the road centrist republican....like the guy running for governor in Virginia, is an "extremist". Which is what the president, the D candidate, and a former president have said.
Oh and the open borders...youre missing the point. It doesn't matter if your claim is they don't support it (the far left does tho) the issue is this has always been a problem, yet the current guy exacerbated the problem infinitely...thats not conjecture. It's reality. So much so that he had to put back in place things the last guy did. Are you calling him a nazi yet?
