Just watched “Four Hours at the Capitol”, a documentary on hbo about January 6th. Crazy stuff and a lot of footage I’ve never seen before. Ultimately it’s sad though. How people could fall so deeply for a guy like trump that they’re willing to break down the doors and windows of the capital building and harm officers is beyond my comprehension. I know you guys won’t watch and you’ll call it fake news but it’s actual footage including interviews with the cops that day and body cam footage. Put it this way, if you don’t support the capitol police after watching what happened, don’t ever put a stupid flag in front of your house saying “I back the blue” or any other dumb slogan.
if the capitol police were actually law enforcers they woulda guarded that building with their lives the way the SS protects the whitehouse. After the civil war all branches of government should have been protected by the military. It’s a failure of house and senate to go through life acting like ordinary people and a failure of capitol police to not shoot people they thought maybe trying to over throw the government. If democracy is so fragile why the hell isn’t the seat of democracy heavily fortified? I’m talking all of DC. Instead DC has descended into a waste land. And yeah i al blaming the lawmakers who have had numerous wake up calls for not making sure these places are defended. Can you imagine if BLM radicals or Muslim extremists had known it was so easy to breach the capitol? That place would be rubble by now. Airports have greater defenses than the capitol. It’s appalling!
