I do care that everyone gets equal justice, but posting a study that simply says blacks and whites receive different sentences for the same crime in federal cases is ridiculous. Why just blacks and whites, why not break it down to all races?
You immediately reach for racial bias as the reason, without knowing any of the circumstances, even the article doesn’t state that.
I know that, I was casting doubt on them actually blocking the car. I bet they didn't have to persuade very hard.

It stated the study controlled for other factors. I even bolded that part. And you stated you cared about equal justice under the law. You brought it up, not @Fact_Checker. You didn’t specify economically. So you’re saying you only care that justice be applied equally to the poor and rich, but not blacks and whites?
The study was on federal crimes, that weren’t listed. Was it no federal crime history or no criminal history. We’re there aggravating circumstances, crimes don’t just fall into convenient squares.
I am for equal justice, but you’re assuming that the only reason there is a difference is racial. Because it fits your box, you don’t want to break it down any further.
You should read the study and not the headline.

Women receive far more lenient sentences than men for the same crime, but it's not because judges hate men. The reality is you can't really adequately account for all variables... the only real privilege is can you afford quality representation, which they never even bother to consider.
Which is incidentally the real issue here. Your lot hate the competent; you hate people better off or more successful than you and want them brought back down to your level in the name of equity.

You specifically bolded a statement from the article. Read the study, I just did. They only had violent crime statistics for 2016, they created the other years numbers.
What narrative am I trying to fit here? You want to blame it solely on race, without knowing any of the data on the cases, criminals or judges, that is the way a child thinks.
The crimes aren’t sentenced in one huge block, they are individual cases with different sets of circumstances.
