Even if it came with your rival having the permanent trump card in all rivalry discussions for the rest of your life?Final 4 banner > no Final 4 banner
I’d rather have to deal with losing to my rival in the Final 4 than have to deal with losing to St. F’ing Peter’s in the first round.
Even if it came with your rival having the permanent trump card in all rivalry discussions for the rest of your life?
So for the rest of your life you'd be cool with Louisville fans always owning you in exchange for a Final Four banner?
You can’t be serious. When did our fanbase become so ate up with Duke? Seriously, when, and why, did that happen? It has to be the current generation of UK fans, because us older fans (50+) don’t give a single flying **** about Duke.During the aftermath of the game, I wondered, would I trade places with Duke this year? Yes they have a final four and ACC reg season, but the loss to UNC at home, VT in the ACC title game, UNC in the final four. For the sake of the argument, lets assume UNC wins tomorrow.
UK (26-8, 1 GB SEC)
- wins over KU, UNC, UT big. Did not play most traditional rival (UL)
- biggest rivals (UT, UL) with poor March as well
- embarrassing loss to chippy upstart
Duke (32-7, 1st ACC)
- UK best win of season
- lost only other marquee game (OSU)
- 1-2 vs UNC including two crushing losses on biggest stage
- did not win ACC tourney
- BIGGEST RIVAL COULD WIN NATTY AFTER BEATING THEM
I'd love a final four but if getting one for us this year meant losing to UT and them going to the title, I don't know about that. Anyone else feel like this?
That's not how this works. You have to take everything dook gets in this deal. Your greatest Coach in school history is retired by Louisville. The only NCAA tournament meeting in the rivalry history goes to Louisville. Louisville fans now own the rivalry for the rest of your life.Let Louisville have it, we can trump them in so many other ways. We’ve already beaten them in the F4 ourselves, own them head to head, and our programs are not close statistically the way way UNC/Duke are. Any honest Louisville fan would take our record over theirs even after beating us in the F4.

In exchange you get a 2022 Final Four banner.
Well it is a random weird question so I don’t know anyone can say how it works or not, but the facts still remain as another poster pointed out that let’s say this happened, Louisville has 3 titles, Kentucky 8.That's not how this works. Amazing how age (70) puts real life in perspective. You can’t be serious. When did our fanbase become so ate up with Duke? Seriously, when, and why, did that happen? It has to be the current generation of UK fans, because us older fans (50+) don’t give a single flying **** about Duke.
2015 since our last final four give me a final four this year who knows when this coach will take us to oneCould you imagine if Rupp lost to UofL in his last home game and then lost to UofL again in his last game ever in the F4? That's basically what happened to Duke. The rivalry is over for them. UNC will always have that card over Duke forever.
Id take UNCs season over ours even when they lose tomorrowDuring the aftermath of the game, I wondered, would I trade places with Duke this year? Wait, UofL/UK is equivalent to UNC/Duke?Could you imagine if Rupp lost to UofL in his last home game and then lost to UofL again in his last game ever in the F4? That's basically what happened to Duke. The rivalry is over for them. UNC will always have that card over Duke forever.
Been here 5 years longer than you buddy.I gotta say I’m always impressed when people like the OP are able to create an account and make a post with a poll on it. That must have been so hard for him.
Don’t forget to wear your helmet when you go outside buddy.
Reading comprehension wasnt taught back then. I did not get caught up with Duke. I asked if we'd trade seasons based on the outcomes with their fiercest rival. You can’t be serious. When did our fanbase become so ate up with Duke? Seriously, when, and why, did that happen? Duh. Every team but Kansas would. UNC is having our 2014 run.Id take UNCs season over ours even when they lose tomorrow
