Scored 19 on Gonzaga earlier in the year. 18 on Providence. Only 9 against Arizona.

This is the type of kid that, if you can find a way to have the talent and depth where a kid like this comes off the bench for you, you become SO elite. Or this kid starts and you get someone of the very near caliber who can be your first big off the bench.

Like what Florida does at the 4 spot with Haugh and Condon. If we can get 2 kids of this caliber to split the PF spot, we could be really elite in the front court.

Realistically, we need to go get 3 bigs probably.

I am assuming that BG will transfer, and I honestly think that's for the best at this point.

PF 1
PF 2

Center 1
Malachi Moreno (Center 2)

Ideally you'd also get a 3/4 swingman who can play some PF if needed (similar to a Darius Miller type, a 3 & D forward who can play the SF or PF spots).

So you'd have 5 guys total who can plug and play in the front court spots.

If this kid can fill into one of the 2 PF roles we need, it's a homerun.

Just doing some snooping on Google:

Dad played basketball at Navy and Pitt. Mom played volleyball at Pitt. Brother played basketball at College of Charleston. Both sisters played volleyball. One at Ohio St. then Clemson, the other at Penn St. then College of Charleston.

Talk about an athletic family.

Yeah. I like Garrison but he’s probably better suited for a more traditional 4 role unless he vastly improves his handles and/or shot creating/percentage

Gets to the line a ton. Almost 7 attempts per game. Not a very good shooter from 2 for a big man.
He doesn’t get many dunks and shoots a lot of long-ish 2’s. The highlights suggest he plays more like a wing than a center on offense.

I keep seeing people make this mistake. These guys who are transferring are not transferring to be bench players. Very few guys are going to be willing to accept that role.

Does Davidson have the same coach that has been there for a long time?
I remember him being a very good coach

The 3PT% is misleading because he doesn't really shoot many threes. He averages 1.3 attempts per game.

The rebounding numbers are a little concerning too considering his size vs. the competition.
