USA Today’s national columnist: If what I’m seeing tonight is an accurate representation of SEC basketball officiating, road wins should count double. Home teams getting away with some stuff.

This doesn’t make sense, I’ve been told by numerous fans tonight that we only lost this game because we are soft and can’t shoot.

That is blatant... These guys should never call another game. Corrupt.
I actually did this once in a church league game. Not to the ref though. One of the opposing players undercut my cousin/friend and he had a very hard fall. He was 6'2" and went up, the guy went underneath and caused my buddy to hit the floor very hard. Whie he was out, I told his brother, who was 6'5" to stand near the guy, and to not catch the next pass I threw. I hit him square between the eyes, ball goes out of bounds off of him. My friend who was laying on his back with spasms was rolling on the floor.https://x.com/vapelawguy
lol Like this response in the comments on X I saw from your link
"Does Pope need to design a play to ensure an official catches a very hard errant pass in the face when they are stinking it up?"
Actions do speak louder than words!

You got that right for sureDon’t worry, the officials will balance it out. Next time UK is at home, they’ll make sure there is no home cooking. LOL!
Someone at the SEC offices sometime in the last 6-8 years decided that the only way for the SEC to stand out is to take our football league and transfer it to basketball. That means 2 months of pain only to see the SEC flop every March because no other conference refs allow this shit. So it only works for conference, but rarely in the big dance.
And when you have a national writer calling it out, it justifies the fans’ complaints.
Coach Rupp always said we get the same officiating in the Southeastern Conference whether we are in Lexington or on the road…we get road officiating. You got that right for sure
There was one ref back it those days who always gave us a hard time, can't remember his name right off the top of my head (Burl Crowell maybe) We always got a fair shake from George Conley until he had to stop calling our games when Larry was here.Coach Rupp always said we get the same officiating in the Southeastern Conference whether we are in Lexington or on the road…we get road officiating.
He coached his last game in 1972. Fifty-two years later, nothing has changed.
