Theyve had two weeks to prepare and its a night game there. Prime situation for (another) letdown for UT.

***

We’re going to punk them. Thanks for trying.

***

They have one of the best running backs in the SEC!!Will be a tough game!

***

(Florida fan):
What they did to us, they likely won't do to y'all. They basically ran the same running play all game at our defense, and for reasons that I'm still unsure of, we just literally were powerless to stop it on that day. They have an okay defense, but I'm sure y'all will score points, and as long as you stop their run game they won't score any points themselves. Pretty easy Vol win imo.

***

They always seem to find great RBs which is why I was tickled to snag Keith from them last season.

***

Thought they had a transfer from NC State at qb who was supposed to be an upgrade from Levis? Not all that after all?

***

It's Kentucky. I expect a win I don't care if it's noon, 4, 7, or 2 am. As usual their run game is decent and QB sucks. Stop the run and win the game. I look for our DL to cause chaos. Milton looked better on the road at Bama than he did at home vs aTm, so I'm not really worried.

***

Game plan defensively is stop their run game and make Leary beat you with his arm. This sounds familiar for some reason.

***

I think they’re similar to us? Running team and tough defense.

***

They wish they were even remotely like us in any way. We are, and always have been, vastly superior to them. They are clowns and will be treated as such come Saturday.

***

This is what hubris looks like

***

I just looked up Leary's stats. He had 69 passing yards on 9 completions against UF and they won? I hate UF. We could never. We need 200 rushing and 200 passing to even have a chance against them.

***

Kentucky gonna get taken to the wood shed and beaten like a red headed step child with aspirations of going to clown college.

***

I really think we won’t see a great front 7 again this season after A/M and Bama. Kentucky should be a drop off in talent so I’d like to think our 3 headed monster running game + Milton’s new found power run getting back on track and run all over them.

If the defense from the first half Bama and second half Texas A&M show up, Kentucky is in trouble.

***

Easy to stuff their run game. Their passing game is bad. Pretty one dimensional.

***

I do think we'll beat UK, we should but I do believe it will be a lot closer than most Vol fans here think it will be. Night game, big stage, they are at home and will pump them up. I need Joe Milton not to get that deer in the headlights look if things don't go our way early. If our offense evaporates, especially in the second half, no problem with pulling Milton for Nico. It can't hurt if the offense has done a disappearing act.

***

We should win this one by 10+. It’s Missouri I’m more worried about.

***

(Georgia fan):
Imo the biggest worry is the weather affecting your ability to hurt them thru the air. Outside of that, they can't stop your running game if they are stretched by the passing game and you roll. Their O just flat out sucks and they aren't going to consistently drive the ball on your D with a horrible passing game.

***

Vanderbilt transfer Ray Davis is their best player and the top rusher in the conference.

Tennessee will have to win the line of scrimmage to win this game.

***

This is a 38-13 type of game. Uk is as one dimensional as they come. Leary wouldn’t be 2nd string on any other SEC team. Take away their game against Florida and they are mediocre. I see our defense shutting them down and giving Milton a lot of chances to put up points.

***

Kentucky is a very 1-dimensional team. Great running game, weak passing game. Our D has done very well against teams like that this season.

That said, they get 2 weeks to prepare for us in Lexington. I honestly think we're quite a bit better than them, but it also sucks playing SEC teams coming off a bye-week. Could be a tough game. We could blow them out. I'm not sure what to expect yet.

***

They're physical up front on both sides of the ball tho. That concerns me especially after that second half vs bama. Then there's our complete failure in road games this season. Until they prove otherwise, I'm going to expect that they just don't have the mental toughness to handle an SEC road environment.

***

They have a good team. We better be ready and we better change our offensive play calling or we will have loss #3, THEN we start serious conversation about next season. "Nico, the drive to the top"!

***

They schemed a bunch of good looks against UGA on offense but could not execute consistently. Their scheme depends on misdirection. They can also win running counter like they did against UF.

They are a base personnel team on defense, so getting WRs against LBs will be both a possibility and a goal for Tennessee.

UGA beat them by passing to open up the run and getting far enough ahead that UK had to pass a lot. That’s not their game at all. But I felt like their game against us could have been very different if they converted some early drives where a guy was open and Leary missed him.

***

KY got exposed by the only 2 "good" teams they've played this year, and I'm not sold on Mizzou being actually good either. I think this is the 3rd time in Mark Stoop's career he started 5-0, then they barely win anything when they get into their actual SEC schedule?

I really think the only other loss on our schedule is Georgia, and that is not looking like a foregone conclusion if we can put together a complete game instead of the 1 half that we managed in Tuscaloosa. I'm actually a little more confident after seeing we can put together at least a half of very good football.

***

Kentucky is a HUGE game for Heupel's approval rating. The Florida loss hurt, the Bama loss hurt, but a loss to Kentucky has always hit really hard.

***

We could go 1-10 durin the season and our 1 win would be against a Kentucky team. Even if they are ranked in the top 10.

***

Our worst coaches in history have beat Kentucky in the past.

Dooley
Pruitt
Butch

Heupel is 2-0 vs Stoops

***

Tennessee should be able to shut down Kentucky's running game early. Kentucky will have to start throwing it deep in the second quarter. I look for Tennessee's secondary to pick off at least two passes in the game.

***

I’ll be scared of Kentucky when I have a reason to be, right now I’m not. The last time they beat us JG was throwing passes that were easy to pick off and that buried us in that game.
