N.O.B.

Teachers in NC refused to go to school today, UKGrad. Massive march in red shirts outside my office this morning. Saw a few tailgating beforehand in the parking deck at around 7 AM. Handle of vodka with a chick in a Wonder Woman cape topping it off with orange juice.
See? That’s the talent that Canadian douchebag was telling you aboot.

Man, I hopped back on the blue bell train because I got my Momma some for Mother's Day (classic buy someone a gift you want to use or eat type of deal...) and I've gone off the rails. My diet has been pretty on point for some months, but that blue bell sent me into a candy, chips, mcdonalds, pizza spiral which has been pretty awesome this week. Fighting the urge to go to Taco Bell.

What are y'all eating for lunch?

Never saw the appeal. Right up there with capris, pit stains and tying the hair into a bun.
 
Was lazy this week and did grown up Lunchables. Beef summer sausage, mini rice cakes (in lieu of carbtastic crackers) some chex mix and fruit.

Dr. told me news that I already knew but have decided to ignore for the past ... uhhh. 30+ years. Gonna have to change up the old eating habits a bit over the summer ...

I've been on a health kick here lately...dropped 31 lbs the past 10 weeks (28 of it pure lard, as measured by the old bodyfat scale). Nothing weird. Lean meats and fish, fruits and vegetables, moderate portions, no sodas, no candy, no chips, and...NO FUN WHATSOEVER I MEAN EFF ME I'D MURDER A BUM FOR A DEEP-FRIED DOUBLE BBQ BACON CHEESEBURGER, LARGE FRIES, LARGE DEW NO ICE (TAKES UP DEW SPACE IN THE CUP, OBVIOUSLY) AND A BIG, THICK PIECE OF GERMAN CHOCO CAKE WITH A SIDE OF EXTRY ICING.

As it is though, I'm gonna have a plain, grilled chicken breast, salad, an apple, an orange, and a bottle of water.
 
Whatever you do, funkycat, do not go full vegan. Never go full vegan.

Unless of course dating a super hot model chick is on the table along with that vegan diet. At which point all bets are off and all is forgiven.

Additionally, if ya go full vegan, you'll post in the N.O.B. thread just once or twice annually. But, yeah, the model, who comes with the deal, is seriously quite hot. I've met her 3x.
 
Can't/Won't give up red meat, but I could cut back. Chicken and pork are great too.

Waiting to hear back from blood work to see if my dumb ass has messed up and gotten The Sugar. I don't think so, but we'll see. That would probably be the best thing for me to get myself in gear, but it would suck.

I really don't snack much, but when it's time to eat. I. Eat. I'm a creature of habit, so if I can get a good start out of the gate after school is out, I'll probably be a-ight. Would love to drop 40 and then see where we go from there.

One thing I'm not doing is telling everyone (friends/family, not you guys) I'm trying to lose weight because people that post all that crap on Facebook drives me nuts.

Pretty much describes me to a "T."

Once I get past the 2-3 week hump, I can usually ride the good-diet momentum for a long time. After 10 weeks, I've got some good mo built up. Gonna get down to 190 and re-assess. Speaking of blood work, in just 9 weeks I lowered my fasting blood sugar from 98 to 85, cut my triglycerides literally in half, raised my HDL by 50% and lowered my LDL by 20 points. We truly are what we eat.

Just start small Funky. Find acceptable stuff you like and load up at the grocery store. If I have food on hand, and a decent variety of "good" stuff the fast food temptation isn't there, and I can stay in a pretty good eating routine.
