Idgas, hated this team from the jump....but I am curious how/why we suck so bad at D? I mean I know we can’t defend a pick and roll, and we can’t expect freshmen to learn something that advanced in year 1 of their college basketball experience, but we have athletes all over the floor who are either 7’ tall or have 7’ wingspans. Our bigs are pure junk. Derek Willis would seriously improve our interior D. They just jump around and stay out of position. It’s pathetic.

And I’d fire Tony Barbee and Joel Justus on Christmas Eve. Gtfo.
 
Re: Defense (or lack thereof)

1) Standing straight up. All of them. Damn near every possession.
2) No communication. NONE.
3) Confused on pick and roll. (See #2 above)
4) Lack of effort and general laziness on defense. Even getting back on defense after a made bucket looks like a struggle to these guys. Like they are packing 40lbs back packs to the other end of court.
5) Get beat to lose balls. (See #4 above)
6) Can't rebound for shite. (See #4 above)
7) And finally...the main culprit...other than attempts at making grandiose plays like steals and blocks...there is an overall general DGAF attitude on that end of the court. Which in turn leads to #'s 1-6 above.


Said it before and I'll say it again...need to paint the AAU logo at mid court at Rupp. Change the unis too. On the bright side, the announcer should be able to a make a rather smooth transition...

And now...for your University of Kentucky AAU All-Stars...at guard...

I was in ROTC as an undergrad. We had two courses in military history which covered the development of strategy and tactics and how they were used in various wars. It was interesting and something I wish I had more time to revisit.

Watching John Wall grow up is like watching my kids. Just beat the Celtics in Boston. Looking forward to the Eastern Conference finals. I love Lebron, but can’t wait to see Wall give him the ‘don’t give me that shit’ look.

Christmas done. TV is back to being shitty. I’m fat. Life is good.

If these gd cats ruin the end of 2017 for me I’m gonna be upset. Just don’t have a lot of confidence in either team, especially football....which isn’t that important, we get a ring for the bowl anyway ya know....but if we get beat by David Padgett, you gotta send B-Rad and Tony Barbee packing. At least.

Watched the 98 Duke game last night. Bunch of fighters. Joy to watch basketball played that way.

Mav, hope you made it to Steak n Shake and found the nourishment your body craved.

Random Bullshit (cathartic - don’t read)

Just froze my Santa’s sack off out here waiting for a mouthtouchin Bus. So, the one day you go to work when practically no one else does, they abbreviate the schedule and make the desperately edentured wait and freeze a half hour extra. Hoes.

I made bourbon balls, lasagna & Italian cheese cake for parties. All were quite awesome.

My little man spent Christmas morning in an urgent care joint with a 100 other miserables. Fever. Ear Infection. Amoxicillin.

Still not complete with bathroom renovation. My contractor is a turd. Who knows what I’ll get out of him this week. He forgot to silicon seal the bottom of the fixed glass frame.... flooding. Beat.

So I’m going to work today. I pray my lazy wife cleans up Christmasgeddon.

Bob Ross coffee mug shall be a glorious start to every morning.

Santa came through with a PS4. Cool device. They (we) usually only play sportsball games, but it came with Call of Duty WWII. Holy shit that is a terrifying game.

Can’t wait to eat food not from my own kitchen sometime today. Need a break.

Cats won’t screw around and lose to UofL. They just won’t. It might give us all a heart attack but it’ll be a W.

In unrelated news, have you ever seen the gal from This Is Us that is huge? We don’t watch it but she was on something else we watched last night. Old girl is a house. Easily the biggest person on TV. Makes Precious look anorexic. I’m overweight, but with some work and eating right for a few months could be back to normal-ish. This girl could starve herself for a year and still be gigantic. I don’t usually have sympathy for people on TV because they have everything going for them if they choose to accept it, but something had to go wrong for this chick.
