I
Quote the post you are referring to. I'm not reading every post in this abomination.
Edit: I also dont have a team, which is why I havent generalized anyone in this thread. I am a registered Republican, but independent in practice. I've literally never voted straight party ticket in my life.
Sports will be played THIS year, sorry buddy
You didn't quote the post, so I can't comment on it dude. If accurate, sounds like someone who also lives in an echo chamber. Are you happy now?A guy above went OFF the handle about trumpsters and then talked about conservatives being afraid of blacks and hispanics. I don't expect every post to be addressed, but it's not usually a coincidence when some posts are ignored and others aren't. When it comes to debates, it usually follows a pattern.
Oh okay. Yeah, she makes the whole social distancing thing much better. Matter of fact, I’m having a hell of a time. We stay home a lot regardless, though. My sip referred to stay-in-place, which would be much less monotonous if i was staying in place with someone like her.
I’m just particular. If you need me to
lol
She said, “so someone has to look at my pic that long for it to look good?!”My sip referred to stay-in-place, which would be much less monotonous if i was staying in place with someone like her.

Yeah awesome while tens of thousands sleep and crap in the streets. California is a disaster.
WELL SAID!!!Haven't heard this but it's asinine if true. Too early to make that call. There won't be a vaccine until later in 2021 (and many people who get a flu shot/vaccine still get the flu, you know). We're really going to stop our lives for another 15+ months? I'm thinking a worldwide depression is just as serious if not more so than this virus if we follow through on this course. More and more experts from non-US countries are questioning the complete shutdown. 'Herd immunity' is the phrase I keep hearing and isolating everyone will not engender herd immunity. (FWIW, polio wasn't considered eradicated worldwide until 2017 and we've had a vaccine for almost 70 years now; plus, there are 20+ new cases of bubonic plague in the US each year - you CANNOT completely eradicate this or any virus with a vaccine.) The financial, mental and social cost of isolation is approaching the human cost in my mind. Not trying to be callous and I'm all for continuing isolation for most at-risk but, keep everyone inside, no restaurants, no sporting events, no concerts, etc. for another year plus? Nope.
BTW, this won't be the only pandemic in our lifetime. We gonna shut the world down for a year every decade or so for every pandemic that arises? It's insanity. The number of people who will starve, commit suicide, commit homicide, become clinically depressed, abuse drugs/alcohol, physical abuse, etc. will go off the charts if this country doesn't start opening up a little at time in the near future.
Log off.
And you believe that fake news Network. The network that cheated and supplied Hillary Clinton with the questions to a presidential debate prior to the debate.[/QUOTE
don't believe any news networks or politicians, after all Trump called this a hoax to start with, sure all the people that died from it don't believe that.

Looked fantastic the first time. and i know what i’m talking about. She said, “so someone has to look at my pic that long for it to look good?!”![]()
Yes, gov Nuisance said this today. we have the sports capital of the US right here in Cali. 4 NBA teams, 4 NFL teams, 4 Major League Baseball teams, 3-4 NHL Hockey Teams, 3-4 Major Soccer Teams. Not counting "G" League basketball, Minor league baseball, college sports, and numerous kids sports. Would greatly affect many if put into effect.Only one I saw was LA. What others have said this? In any event, way too soon to write things off yet.
Yeah that quote is from someone who lives in an echo chamber and thinks of himself on a team for sure. Not sure how you can consider saying someone is scared of mexicans and black people as worse than saying someone is happy a pandemic is killing thousands of people. I agree that one is worse than the other, but I disagree with you about which it is.Not a huge deal, for reference, post 48 (or 47):
everything ALWAYS revolves back to “Must protect Trump”
cult mentality. How about y’all go out, infect each other, kill each other, and the rest of us will clean up the mess you morons have made since this stupid bitch came alone 5 years ago and scared you shitless of Mexicans and black people.
If you ask me this is an awful lot worse than what some of the bad repubs are posting here.
Just a good ole barefoot Kentucky girl. I couldn’t begin to ask for a better wife, though. She checks every box, then some.I can see why.
That's all you can ask for.Just a good ole barefoot Kentucky girl. I couldn’t begin to ask for a better wife, though. She checks every box, then some.
How can it be a doomsday scenario when even the worst death rates are still under 10%, but some models show well below 1%? Don't get me wrong, 10% is BAD.. but that's not doomsday. I think you've watched too many sci-fi movies lately..

He definitely hates Trump though. Hating anyone is unhealthy.
I went and read it in context and I'm pretty sure he was referring to people wanting mass gatherings and to go back to work should do it themselves instead of of expecting everyone to take the risk for the economy, since he was replying directly to a guy complaining about the economy. He just said it with less tact.He pretty much said any conservative voter should go kill themselves.. that's what I was referring to.
My daughter is a freshman at the University of Iowa. She got an email today that said she should expect to be back on campus in the fall attending classes under a traditional learning environment. They may make some accommodations as needed in dining halls and for large gatherings, but they are planning to be back. Not to be smartass but what do Mayors know about sporting events that I don't?
I’ve seen the California Governor say that (same Governor who just granted $125 million for “residents” who are here illegally).

No where in that post did he say all republicans or all conservatives like the other dude did about liberals. Weak attempt to draw parallels. He was still a jerk.
They canceled Burning Man today which is in August
Take off the tin foil hat and try some critical thinking. It might do you some good.they're hoping this goes for all time and it's the start of American socialism and the green new deal. Newsom Gates and clyburn have said so themselves. These people said in early March this was their opening for 2020 why anyone still thinks it's anything different is just in denial
1. Argumentum ad verecundiam.1. We are already working towards herd immunity. The social distancing is to slow the spread of the disease throughout the population, not to stop it from spreading. Had we not done the social distancing and shutdown, we would have reached herd immunity much faster at the cost of completely overwhelming our health care system (which still happened in the hot zones that popped up before the shutdown). This would increase deaths from COVID-19, as well as every other source of emergency (car crashes, gunshots, workplace accidents... etc wouldn't get cared for in an overwhelmed heathcare system. The amount of deaths would be staggering. We will not safely reach herd immunity without a vaccine according to every expert I've read discuss this (I'm open to any sources you can provide that suggest otherwise).
2. You mention the bubonic plague, as if that is a highly contagious pathogen that passes from person to person. The bubonic plague is rarely spread from person to person. Social distancing or shutting down portions of the economy wouldn't stop the bubonic plague. You are comparing apples to cucumbers.
3. We haven't had a pandemic on this level in 100 years, but you think we are going to have another one like this every decade for the foreseeable future? I mean it is possible I suppose, but I'd love to know what you are basing this on. We have had diseases that have a higher mortality rate by far, but they were no where near as contagious as COVID-19 (SARS 15% death rate). We've had diseases that spread as easy or easier than COVID-19 but they were not as deadly (H1N1 infected 24% of the world, but only killed .02% of those infected.) The fact that COVID-19 can lie dormant for so long before symptoms present, the fact that it takes long term care for those who present severe symptoms and the fact that it is so contagious make this a rare pandemic. When was the last time American hospitals were running out of space to store dead bodies during a pandemic? The answer to that question should let you know this isn't a once in every ten years type of event.

The fall? Everyone who wants a test can get a test as of a month ago. Remember? They’ll play without fans. Testing will be available to all teams by the fall.

That's why it cannot be believed #FakeNews machacho!Wolf on CNN just was talking about this right before I posted the thread.
Testing may make it even more likely we have no sports. Get one positive and the whole team is quarentined for two weeks. Better chance than not this coming season is toast. They’ll play without fans. Testing will be available to all teams by the fall.
The National Debt like playing golf only matters sometimes, depending on who is president at the time. Right now its no big deal.Over/Under on National Debt for Jan 1 2021?
