I know, in the past, we'd play a pre-season tournament here and there. But, when did CBB start playing exhibition games as a normal course of events? Do all teams (maybe only 'major' teams) play exhibition games? Are they for charity generally? Does the opponent get paid to play exhibition games like several $100k? They don't count for/against our record, right? Does UK charge the same for an exhibition game as a regular season game?

CBB teams play 25-30 games in the season - why are exhibition games even necessary? CFB teams play 12 games with NO exhibition games (OK - P4 powerhouse vs. directional school is pretty much an exhibition 99% of the time but the game still counts for CFP, bowl, etc.).

Obviously, I haven't kept up with CBB for several years but, with the new staff, I'm very excited to see how this season plays out and am looking forward to watching UK look like a well-coached, cohesive TEAM vs a collection of AAU superstars who are just biding their time until the NBA Draft.
