Oh yea blame the young guy who's team just got beat, who was pryor to that doing nothing wrong. Lets not blame the so called proffessional who had been on him all night, trying to pick a fight, and is known for it.

On top of that watch the video the Pro continues to press it after Onu walked away the first time.

Don't mess with Barea. Almost as stupid as Daniel Orton talking bad about Pacquiao as a member of a Phillipine's basketball team.

I like it. It makes it known that our athletes are Louisville first and are all about the team and the school. I use #L1C4 all the time as do many of the people I see on Facebook.
Just because you say it, or even believe it, don't make it so. Those kids would bolt for the NBA if they could.

haha. atmosphere is eerily subdued from the norm over on little sister's board. you'd think they would be jubilant to be honing their 8 future nba players against some preseason international competition.

It looks like someone ran with my idea.....retweeted by not Jerry Tipton.

Louisville pulls off the monster upset tonight!

Comparable to a 16 seed knocking off a 1 seed.

I went over there just now and couldn't find any info on tonight's game. Did see that the game on Sunday has been cancelled. Sell the packages and then back out of two games. They suck by any metric you choose.

edit: was able to find out the score was 84-81. ul with the come from behind win.

Now, they may reschedule the Sunday game.

the PR team basically stopped caring after the first 40 point blow out. its a waste of their time. but i'm glad ul fans get this win...they needed it. it will raise their expectations for the year. i mean...they just beat the PR squad...so that means they are as good as anyone. maybe they will have real standards and not make excuses for failures. i mean...they have a HOF coach, great facilities, and tradition...they should be elite. right? they should win 35 games easy...right? they are so loaded right? no excuses right?

PR didnt play their best players in this one. Basically a gift to LilBro so they dont go home totally empty.

BTW, Pitino is writing a new book. Its title: Cancellation is a Choice

Not to mention that in the game Louisville finally won last night (barely), Puerto Rico was not playing ANY of their star players.

That trip was just what they needed. They fought through adversity and are finally ready to come together as a team and storm to the 2016 national championship.

In your story Wayne even said he doesn't regret going to Louisville and that Rick made him a tougher person. This sounds like the Tribune trying to take up for their hometown kid and place blame on college. Did they mention that he was hurt and just never recovered? Maybe that had more to do with it than Rick and the L1C4 mantra. Makes me glad to live in a market that doesn't try and make excuses for local players/teams that don't reach their potential.
Is there a reason that Benedict NEVER compares ANY of his players at OTIS to his former Otis players? It is ALWAYS somebody from KENTUCKY:smiley::sunglasses:

OP...get it right..."VERY special"
and they say we worship and salivate over Cal.
They have to be the weakest fan base (at least many IU fans think Crean is creepy)

no wonder luavl has been losing, the've been playing their scrubs:

Full Louisville roster will play Saturday night
Saturday's game between Louisville and the Puerto Rico Junior National team will feature the full Louisville roster, not just the B team, according to Kenny Johnson.

UL's season will hinge on how the officials let them play. They'll be in every game that the officials let their hack and grab go, but if Lewis and Lee aren't on fire, they'll have a miserable time beating other top 25 teams

You know, these trips sometimes are really a vacation where you can mentally bond together but it’s not physically rewarding for improving as a basketball team because the competition is not real good. Bahamas is an indication. So we got a lot out of it bonding-wise, we got a lot out of it basketball-wise.”

Of course, they went to the Bahamas a few years ago, didn't they? I know they played a team, which one or more players were late because they couldn't get off work in time. Not fact checking, because I don't care; I just remember someone writing that. I know that Louisville destroyed everyone they played. However, I wouldn't put it past him to take a swipe, but he would look like a fool doing it, since he took his team there, and the competition his team played there were far inferior to the teams Kentucky played.

This trip cost a lot of money. We sucked and in hindsight not a good idea. Our fans are disappointed. We even paid for the local beat writers to come. I have to find something positive to say to justify the expense so what about these games don't really matter. Would they have mattered if we won them? Sure but we did not and I don't want the team and fans to give up and quit already... It's just August. But yeah this was a bad and expensive disaster. Rick Pitino

Things Pitino has never said:

I should have...
I didn't realize...
I was wrong when...

Things Pitino always says:

He should have...
He doesn't realize...
He was wrong when...

SEXtinos a POS..He is eat up with UK..It's his 2nd biggest failure in life after screwing Sypher and then trying to hide it..Everything he says is garbage..He doesn't even know what he says..It just rolls out like diahrreah.
The Puerto Rico trip was a disaster for Lil Brother. They got embarrassed by high school players and cast offs..It exposed the talent less team SEXtino will have to live with this season..It should be hilarious..No more "Buckwheat Harrell" who dropped out of site in NBA..
Better have a lot of excuses Ricky after the losses mount up this season..How many post game pressers will you fluff? I can't wait..[laughing][laughing][laughing]

He's referring to UL's 2011 Bahamas' trip (as lakercat pointed out in the 2nd post in this thread). IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH UK. But hey, don't let that stop the paranoids.

I would think about half of those Louisville fans are jumping off that big boat.

UL fans are truly the best. I asked my diehard UL fan about this trip and he gave me the common theme of I don't care, it's football season. He then made the statement that the UK/UL rivalry is a lot closer than UK fans think. Even when I broke down that the overall record was 33-15, UK, and 23-12 in the modern era with a 7-1 record since Cal came....he proceeded to tell me that doesn't matter.
