kiffens getting a divorce

Think it must be very hard to be married to a big time D I coach, they travel all the time, and live, eat and breathe the job 24-7-365. Yes, the money is good, but money is not everything. Raising three kids all by yourself, while your husband spends every waking minute obsessed about someone else's kids, would be a thankless job, IMO.

Well the rumor is it was more than time away from home on recruiting/coaching football.

Some of the stories of his time in Knoxville is hilarious. Rumor where running wild about the coaches having a apartment rented downtown for parties. Quite a few pic's got leaked of this place. Mike Tomlin was even in some of the pictures.

Given the respect provided toward females on that campus and by the UT football program as a whole, this is quite the shocking revelation... (said no one...)

Especially with all the rape convictions UT has had.
The lack of convictions, or even prosecution, is likely more damning than if there had been some given the kangaroo court that UT uses when "investigating" allegations...

UT doesn't investigate sexual assaults clams. That's the state of Tennessee brah. I'm sure your next post will be how it's all one big cover up and the state courts are in with UT so the athletes don't get in trouble. LOL.

From the Tennessean: "The plaintiffs say that UT’s administrative hearing process, which is utilized by public universities across the state, is unfair because it provides students accused of sexual assault the right to attorneys and to confront their accusers through cross-examination and an evidentiary hearing in front of an administrative law judge. The administrative law judge who hears the case is appointed by Cheek, the lawsuit says."

Because you're from Tennessee, I highlighted a couple of the important parts to help you with comprehension. You're welcome.

OJ was innocent, everyone knows that. If he weren't in jail for a separate felony, he would still be out there looking for the killer . . . or killers.

That's not for the criminal part of it. That is to determine whether the person needs to be suspended from school activities on campus. Jesus man, you think the university can put a person in jail?

You make a good point. I'm not in such denial to think nothing happened in any of these clams but the way our justice system is set up, the prosecutor has to prove guilt. Just like the Von Pearson deal. He was accused of rape by a lady but her rape kit come back negative and he offered up his DNA and they did not find it on her anywhere.

No, but they can kick him off the football team AND out of the University with little more than he say she say evidence-------and a lot of that tainted, tell me the difference in the accuser's demeanor between her voluntarily letting him in and escorting him out of the dorm.

But the difference in the football culture at UK and TU is mind boggling, IMO.

No, but the other students and citizens should be indignant about the University signing the EIGHT thugs that makes the whole city unsafe for regular citizens------AND at the KPD that files NO charges about the assauts (except for ONE on a three time football program offender for resisting arrest). But then the two victims must have been OK with it (or rewarded in other ways) since even the off duty policeman didn't even press charges OR sue everyone in sight.

Why kick a player off until he's been proven guilty by the courts? Every player that's had an accusation like this out on them Butch has automatically suspended him until it's gone through the judicial system. Just like Von Pearson was accused of rape. Butch suspended him until the DA decided not to press charges because the girls rape kit come back negative and the DNA test was negative. So he obviously didn't do what she said he did. The one exception Butch made was with Treyvon Paulk. He GF accused him of hitting her but Butch kicked him off the team because he had been in trouble a couple times before. There's also the possibility of kicking a player off the team and then he's found not guilty to a crime and he can come back and sue you for it. It's happened before. So you are stuck with letting it play out. I agree that the culture is different at UK and UT..... We don't have players running drugs across the state.

Also if you go to arrestnation.com, they keep the data for all sports teams and since 2010, Tennessee has had 23 arrest in basketball and football and Kentucky has had 22. I'm not seeing a huge difference between the schools.

Looks like some of you detoured off the "Butch Jones called Drae Bowles a traitor" thread or whatever it's titled.

Back to the topic at hand, to call Kiffin a weasel would be to insult weasels everywhere. UT got what they deserved in hiring him. Sounds like there are kids involved in this divorce which is always a bad thing.

Kind of an idiotic argument, looks to me like you just helped prove my point.

Seems like if the EIGHT thugs that kicked the TWO men while down weren't charged with anything TU football players can get away with anything. And that is just a sample of what goes on there, what do you thing the lawsuit is about anyway? Favoritism and lack of prosecution, I still say Hart really stuck his foot in his mouth with his statement athletes were treated differently with this GLARING example still around.

So, add those eight on TUs list, and there ARE a lot more.

Well, maybe you just don't have any of it reported, isn't that part of the reason for the lawsuit? So, you have personal knowledge that none of your players deal in drugs at all, you must really get around. A ridiculous statement.

UK has ONE player that we can assume was a dealer that is known, and although he was one of Stoops first four stars and expected to do great things as a senior he was immediately kicked off the team, and he was suspended for his prior offense of slumming with his former teammate that DID have more than an ounce and a weighing device, that plays for Transfer U. And if you are talking about him running drugs that is also out of date, I don't think he is doing it any more.

The question is not whether some players fall by the wayside, the question is which Universities report it and kick them off the team and which teams cover it up and have less arrests to show for it.
