In all honesty, I played 2nd base in high school and wasn't as good. Sorry for the hyperbole.

Whew!! Strikeout to get out of it once again. Man... Salow has been clutch. Just hope these bats can back him up!!

But did you see yourself playing second?

This is nuts. I live less than 10 miles from the stadium and it hasn't rained or lighteninged today.

Ugh... so frustrating. I mean as a baseball fan this is great, but I want to freaking win!! Also... F the shift!

Man... Thomas put a charge into one there. Thought that one had a chance. Would have likely rattled Rogers if he gave up at least a big double there.

I haven't watched them this year. Are we a good hitting team? We look like the Reds out there being down 1-0.

Yes. Best offense in the SEC

Sam Mahar now on the mound. Now want to see him pitching like he did his freshman year before the injury.

Similar.

Votto at 100% = Reed. One guy has that much impact on the effectiveness of the rest of the lineup simply because he's always on-base. Isn't Reed's OBP like .480 and leads the country in HR's?

Well go figure the one game I watch we can't buy a hit. Still plenty of time though. Pitching needs to keep doing a great job.

5th best scoring offense in the entire nation. Not sure what is wrong with us today, but their pitcher definitely deserves some credit.

Anyone know why we took out he starter?
He had never pitched more than 3 innings. He was pretty much done for.

Terrible... Louisville plates another run. This is going to be a huge inning for them.

How did Mahar ever become a college player, are we that desperate for players?
We're pretty deep down our staff at this point. That's what happens when you lose your first game.

I know Mahar has gone threw an arm injury, but I have never been impressed with him. Doesn't seem to do well coming in to games with a fresh inning or when having to shut down the other team.

I would have kept Salow in a little longer, seemed like he was building confidence and was obviously clutch. I know he had thrown a lot of pitches, but he's done that all his life.

Stikeout by Mahar!! Whew... that helps, but still have to have two more.

This x1000

wtf

Too bad. Save for early in the season and the SEC Tournament, this team underachieved all year long. And that is hard to say with the National Player of the Year on your team.

Really glad Henderson saved AJ Reed for Kent State.

Ridiculous the amount of pitching depth UK possesses. Regular Randy Johnson's out there.

Definitely a good move by Henderson in a season full of them.

This thing is over... it was over the moment Mahar came into the game. He has only come into the game twice this year and pitched a scoreless inning and has an 8.22 ERA. I know we don't have a ton of options but we still had Combs and Strecker. Mahar was a terrible decision.

Take out the guy that gave up 1 run in 6 innings. I don't care how long he's pitched. Laughable. Now we're going home. What does the new pitcher do? Walks the lead-off hitter. That's on coaching. Ride out your the guy that got you there.

Bad decision to pull him, the kid was pitching tough. Looked totally confident and in control.

Now you're in a mess.

Does anyone else think the CARDS chant sounds like a lawnmower trying to start? Maybe I have a touch of OCD but anything over 4 letters just doesn't need to be spell chanted...
