I think it was a mistake for Henderson to stick with Salow here in the fourth. Louisville has hit him pretty hard so far and the more they see him the better they are going to hit him.
I don't mind sending him out for the 4th, but this needs to be his last inning. If he gets out of this, it's a really good job.
It definitely worked out. It just worried me because when they got the bat on the ball from the very beginning Louisville was hitting it very hard. So, they were seeing Salow well and with just two pitches he isn't fooling many people. He definitely doesn't need to face the top of the lineup again.

Re: Cats vs UofL delayed.....

Rogers is making our guys look terrible right now. We need to be more patient at the plate. We have plenty of time. Just need to get Rogers to stop throwing junk and sit on that fastball.

Ugh... another base running mistake. Thomas jogged to first and then tried to get to second on a throw to third and got thrown out. Just should have stuck there.

I'm at work and don't have ESPNU. Thought I could get it on my phone but it says my subscription doesn't allow for me to watch the UK game.

If Thomas stays at first there we likely score on that hit by Wilson. Very very big mistake.

Well at least the next guy up didn't hit a fly ball that probably would have been good enough to tie the game up. Oh wait, yes he did.

I'm not convinced that was deep enough.

I just have to say that before 8 years ago Louisville was not that great. Now, McDonnell has sent them to the NCAA tournament 6 out of 8 years and they've gone to the CWS twice. Compare that to what Henderson has done and tell me we should keep him around.

Also... why the hell did Henderson send Salow back out!?!

Maybe it was or wasn't but it would have taken a better throw than the one to third to throw Tom out. Oh well, we'll get them later.

It wasn't extremely deep, but with Tom on third and it being hit to center you probably have to try it there.

The only thing I will say about U of L is that I think it will be more telling with the baseball team than the football team when they make the conference change. Northeastern college baseball isn't much. It's too cold for most of the season. They all go south.

I think they will have a much harder time making the NCAA tournament when they enter the ACC. However, they are well prepared to play some of the best teams in the country, as witnessed by their success in the NCAA tournament. I hate them with a passion unrivaled, but their success is undeniable.

Not sure what it's going to take for him to pull the starter. Playing with fire......

Whew!! Not sure how the hell we pulled out of that nose dive! Outstanding job Salow! Make a believer out of me!

Where are the bats guys?! Wake up!!

If Louisville loses this one with all of the runners they've left on base, it will leave a sting for them.

Lets give our 2 true freshmen pitchers who pitched today worlds of credit, not fraid, and scrappy out there. Bodes well for the future. Some of our upper classmen need to take note !

That was a terrible.... terrible at bat for Reida. Put the bat out there and tried to bunt two balls and then struck out. Couldn't have been much worse. Except maybe Shelby's at bat.

It would be hard to put a loss on Salow, he has been clutch even when giving up hits. If not for an error the game would likely be nill. It's time for him to come out. But without some more hits it won't matter anyway. Salow has done what was needed of him though.

Only thing louisvilles pitcher is missing is the line beard. He appears to have everything else working

Man... this is killing me... We really have to wake the bats up and start getting hard hits. If this thing goes too deep UL will put in their amazing closer and we'll end up losing with this same score.

Salow again... holy cow...

but heck, he almost seems to be getting stronger. haha

Runner was safe, he beat the throw and the 1st baseman's foot was off the bag - would've loved to have had the sacks loaded with Mr. Reed up.

Get over the call at first. Can't expect these guys to see 2 inches from every position. Close, probably against us, but get over it.

Salow is carrying the team right now, but he needs some hitters to step up. Hopefully he can make it through this inning and we can get some runs.

Shelby better have upside because he may be one of the worst 2nd basemen defensively that I've ever seen. Even at the high school level.
