Using the term resources in the most general terms, tell me one resource that Nick Mingione made the most of.
KPP ? That is a dream resource dropped in his lap. Well we got destroyed at home. Swept. By freaking UNC Wilmington’s those that were there recording fans hollering smack talk at Mingione , the bench and the players in our own. New home.
How about the gift of all those returning veteran seniors and all the experiance and home runs from TJ that provided. We lost no one in that draft. What a fortunate stroke of luck to get TJ and the rest all back again.
did Mingione max out that resource ? Of a half dozen returning veterans that allowed him to have the same core veteran players ?

I’m Only trying to have the same Level of scrutiny with NM that he used With Marshall , B3N , Kess and Cam.
maybe less phoney look how great a guy I am storyline from NM and more time scrutinizing himself as he does to the players we would be playing next week

Without a doubt. I think he's reached his peak and he isn't going to do much better. I imagine that next year could be another very poor year, especially having to replace Lewis, Collett, and Hill along with possibly Schultz, Anu, Rhodes, Kessler, and Estep, and Plastiak. Most of our lineup. Then a lot of the experienced pitchers may jump ship. So, just seems like we'll struggle at the plate while pitching is decent and we'll have another unbalanced team that struggles to win, especially in the league.
This is before you even consider the issues behind the scenes.

And 2nd base just completely opened up for Grace and he didn’t care he is leaving.
If it wasn’t for all the seniors that can’t transfer and draft eligible players that won’t bother ( Rhodes Anu and Schultz etc ) the number would top last years whopping 12-15 transfers.
LMAO Thank God Mingione ran off the Perfect Game All American Jaden Brown before this season began for Drew Grace sake. Mingione chose Grace over Brown and now he has neither LMAO at that clown.

If you click on the tweet, he makes a remark about UK recruiting a Lex Catholic kid then backing out. I think that is what they are referring to.

I see negative comments on Twitter from Troy Black, Brett Marshall, Tyler Marshall and Tristan Pompey about the program. I’m sure there are others I haven’t found.
Troy Black tweeted that Nick Mingione is a liar and a fake. He is one of the head trainers at a premier travel org here in Ohio. He would not come out and say that unless it was true. I can guarentee he would not send one player from his org to play for Mingione ever. He effectively eliminated Kentucky as a potential landing spot for any players from that org so as long as Mingione is there. That isn’t something a trainer would do to any of his players without a hell of a reason.
Jim Cornett- not saying you are already incorrect with any of your comments but is this somewhat of a personal issue with you? You seem very passionate in your CNM criticism.

Not personal because I never met NM. Personal because I'm a Reds / UK fan from way back and having grown up in a home that housed summer league players years back and hearing stories from them I lean heavy towards players first in college and managers first in the pros. Also I donot like people that are phony and have leverage over someones future and being a bully about it. And that's what I saw with Kessler this year, Shelby cam b3n and others and I so I am perhaps piling on lately but I feel like its giving him his own medicine. I have had a lot of time on my hands lately to watch the games online more closely than usual. maybe these are some cheap shots mixed in on my part and maybe Im taking more delight in it than I normally would , should. I guess my motive is that if this gets messy enough there is a better a chance of change. I think this is what fans do and NM makes the big bucks and the scrutiny comes with it.

All I know is every day we sit with nothing happening to make things better is one more day to be further behind next year. Would think Barnhart would have had a plan already in place as soon as our last game was over. But, maybe there is no plan. I mean, anyone that would extend a managers contract when the program has got to the point that us and SC are bringing up the rear, something not right here.
Well, NCAA tourney selection is Monday and while you and I both know UK being selected to participate would be the greatest upset in ANY college sport this year, they technically could be considered based on being slightly above .500. In other words, rightly or wrongly no decision will be made until after Monday IMO.
Yeah, I thought of that. Just saying once that selection is over he should have his guns loaded. Wishful thinking and the way it should be anyway. It sounds like Barnhart has not been in the full loop of the program and maybe hasn't dug into some of the things mentioned here like how many players we have lost the last few years. Players at a school like Kentucky should not have to worry about having a solid coach.

The poster above pretty much nailed it on the head with regard to how NM handled that recruitment. Firsthand knowledge.
A lot of these kids grew up around UK baseball and it's literally been their dream to play for the team. They came to games or they were a ball boy or something like that. They looked up to the Tristan Pompeys or the Evan Whites and they wanted to be just like them. Then they get their shot through hard work and these coaches screw it up or they make the experience terrible if they do come to UK. Entirely destroying the dreams these guys were trying to live. It's this type of thing that I have a major issue with.
